•Identifying and reviewing the appropriate technological solutions for various reporting needs

•Creating reports, using a third-party report writing tool such as Crystal reports, to display data

•Writing SQL for custom SQL metrics

•Modifying existing reports, as necessary

•Distributing reports to report consumers using Epic-Crystal integration

•Reviewing peer reports for validity

•Testing report build in a specified testing environment and volume testing in live environments

•Reviewing upgrade documentation related to system features and released system reporting content, and determining how to implement the changes

•Might also be responsible for building:

o Universes and cubes

o Extracts

o SlicerDicer

o Third-party tools (WebI/QlikView/Tableau)

Requirements / Qualifications

•A degree in engineering, physics, computer sciences, math, information systems, or statistics

•At least 1-3 years’ experience in developing, implementing and maintaining IT systems

•Strong communication skills

•Critical thinking and an analytical mind

•Technically proficient in your analytical database platforms

•Working knowledge of the database operating systems

•Proficiency with SQL and relational database concepts

•Proficiency and demonstrated experience with report writing tools

•Familiarity with Epic applications and database structure, through training that occurs early in the implementation

•Ability to gain an in-depth understanding of the data model through data model classes geared toward content areas

•Ability to understand data structures that could benefit the entire reporting environment

•Epic Certified is an advantage

Feedstock Analyst

to our Global Optimization and Trading team in Singapore.

You will focus on developing and maintaining robust analysis tools and providing short and mid term market analysis that supports Global feedstock leads in their decision making and trading book management. In this job you will work closely with Global feedstock leads, Sourcing managers,  Market intelligence and Middle office.

In our team, you will join a group of six biofuel feedstock professionals located in Switzerland, Netherlands and Singapore. Your main focus will be on vegoils and advanced waste and residue markets. Together with your expertise, we can do meaningful work to drive Neste forward.

Your role in our team

• Develop and maintain market analysis tools and models
• Provide market and price analysis, focusing on vegoils and advanced waste and residue markets 
• Support global feedstock lead through analysis
• Track and monitor global feedstock flows, arbitrages, S&D etc.
• Generate and gather feedstock market intelligence that can be channelled to the business
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure an efficient and timely flow of information

Keys to success in this role / The best combination to succeed in this role

• Bachelor degree in economics, finance, mathematics or engineering (Masters preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in biofuels industry, commodities or energy 
• Previous experience as market analyst in any other relevant industry
• Advanced Excel skills and robust analytical skills mandatory
• Experience in models development, programming (e.g. VBA, Python, JAVA) and maintenance of database
• Proactive innovative attitude
• Good organizational skills and strong attention to detail, focus on accuracy of information
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Experience of working in a fast paced environment is beneficial
• Responsible attitude and safety-oriented mindset
