The specific responsibilities of an engineering consultant are generally divided into four core project phases:

1. Planning & Feasibility

• Client Consultation: Meet with clients to understand their technical needs, goals, and operational constraints.

• Cost Estimation: Develop initial budgets, estimate labor/operational costs, and forecast project timelines.

2. Design & Engineering

3. Project & Tender Management

• Tender Evaluation: Prepare and evaluate tender documents to help clients select the most suitable contractors.
• Vendor Coordination: Manage supply chains, oversee purchasing logistics, and coordinate with contractors and external consultants.
• Project Oversight: Manage project progression to ensure it adheres to the scope, budget, and deadlines.

4. Implementation, Testing & Commissioning

• Site Supervision: Supervise construction or on-site works, and review contractor submissions or temporary works to ensure quality control.
• Troubleshooting & Audits: Conduct routine audits, identify/resolve technical errors, and implement mitigation measures.

• Assist the Project Manager in day-to-day coordination ofsteel and metal works projects

• Liaise with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors,suppliers, and internal teams

• Track shop drawings, RFIs, method statements, andtechnical submissions

2. Drawings & Technical Support

• Assist in drawing coordination (Drawings prepared by thedrafting team)

• Liaise with the drafting team on revisions, updates, andcoordination issues

• Ensure drawings are aligned with site conditions,specifications, and contract requirements

3. Material Take-Off & Procurement

• Assist in material quantity take-off for steel and metalworks

• Support the Project Manager/QS in cost checking, variationorder (VO) support, and progress claims

• Maintain basic records for quantities, tonnage, andmaterial usage

• Assist in material requisitions and delivery planning

4. Site Support

• Assist PM in site coordination, installation planning, andwork sequencing

• Attend site meetings and inspections when required

• Support the PM in resolving site issues related to steeland metal works

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Assist PM in preparing simple project reports, schedules,and trackers

• Ensure documentation is updated, organised, and properlycontrolled

BIM / Revit Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced BIM / Revit Engineer to join our engineering team. The role focuses on developing and managing BIM models, supporting design coordination, and integrating digital engineering workflows. Site Engineer

Job Description

This position is mainly responsible for on-site construction supervision, engineering coordination, progress monitoring, quality verification, and testing/inspection support for semiconductor facility engineering projects.

The scope of work includes civil construction stages, M&E installation, instrumentation and control wiring, signal cable installation, control panel installation, PLC / SCADA / GMS system testing, and project handover activities.

The role is primarily responsible for ensuring contractors’ works comply with drawings, specifications, project schedules, and project requirements, while supporting the engineering team in site management and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supervise on-site construction activities, monitor work progress, and ensure quality compliance.
2. Coordinate work arrangements among clients, main contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel.
3. Ensure site works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
4. Conduct daily site inspections to monitor manpower attendance, construction progress, material deliveries, and site conditions.
5. Assist in site measurements, inspections, testing, defect tracking, and project completion verification.
6. Prepare daily site reports, photo records, and progress updates in accordance with company and client requirements.
7. Perform any other site supervision, coordination, and follow-up duties assigned by management.

Job Requirements

1. Candidates with experience in site management, construction supervision, engineering coordination, or project execution are preferred.
2. Basic knowledge of M&E systems, instrumentation and control, ELV systems, communication systems, PLC / SCADA, GMS, or facility systems is an advantage.
