About the Role

We are seeking a capable IT professional to take charge of day-to-day IT operations and staff support, while also working across IT governance, policy, and digital and AI initiatives.

This contract role is suited for someone with several years of IT experience, who is comfortable being hands-on while taking on a broader role in strengthening how IT is managed, governed, and improved across the organisation. You will work alongside our outsourced IT service provider in a lean, fast-moving organisation, with opportunities to develop and strengthen these areas over time.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

1. IT Operations & End-User Support

• Provide day-to-day IT support to staff, including AV setup for meetings, events and board meetings. Oversee onboarding and offboarding of IT accounts and equipment, and manage the IT asset inventory, including phased replacement of ageing devices.

2. Vendor & Project Management

• Manage the outsourced IT service provider and hold them to agreed service standards, and coordinate contract renewals. Manage IT projects through to delivery. Oversee the security of IT infrastructure and coordinate responses to IT security incidents. Routine and overflow technical support is delivered through the service provider, with this role providing oversight and escalation.

3. IT Governance & Policy

• Maintain Business China's IT governance framework and IT policies. Manage data protection and retention practices in line with Personal Protection Data Act (PDPA), and support internal and external IT-related audits. 4. Digital & AI Enablement

5. Business Partnering

Requirements

• Demonstrated knowledge in the following OS: Windows 7/8/10 and Windows 2008/2012 server.
• Able to understand and manage Microsoft Access and Microsoft SQL databases
• Working technical knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Demonstrated knowledge of Visual Studio .NET (VB/C#) Education/experience
• University degree in Computer related field or 1-2 years IT support related experience
• CompTIA, Microsoft, or other recent technical certifications are a plus
• Strong written and oral English communication skill
• This role is primarily based in Tampines HQ office and will be required to support the 19 stores across Changi Airport 4 terminals and Changi Airport office as and when needed.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and technology-driven IoT Intern to support the development, testing, installation, and maintenance of smart home and home automation solutions. The intern will gain hands-on experience in Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, smart devices, automation systems, networking, and software integration within a real-world environment.

This internship is ideal for students pursuing studies in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Mechatronics, or related disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

IoT Device Configuration & Testing

• Assist in configuring and testing smart home devices such as:Smart lighting systemsSmart switches and socketsSmart sensors (motion, temperature, humidity, door/window)Smart cameras and security systemsSmart locks and access control systems
• Perform functionality testing and troubleshooting of IoT devices.
• Document testing results and report issues to supervisors.

Home Automation System Support

• Assist in setting up and integrating home automation platforms.
• Support device pairing and connectivity using Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Z-Wave, Bluetooth, and other communication protocols.
• Help monitor and maintain automation systems.
• Assist in implementing automation scenarios and routines.

Software & Application Support

• Test mobile applications and web dashboards used for smart home management.
• Assist in debugging connectivity and software-related issues.
• Support firmware updates and software upgrades for IoT devices.
• Help create user guides and technical documentation.

Installation & Technical Support

• Assist engineers during on-site installations and commissioning.
• Support cable management and device setup.
• Participate in system inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Help resolve customer technical issues under supervision.

Data Monitoring & Analytics

• Assist in collecting and analysing sensor data.
• Monitor device performance and network connectivity.
• Prepare reports on system performance and operational efficiency.

Research & Development

• Research emerging smart home technologies and IoT trends.
• Evaluate new IoT products and automation solutions.
• Assist in prototype development and proof-of-concept projects.
