JOB TITLE: PROJECT ENGINEER

OBJECTIVE OF THIS ROLE :

1) Maximize project efficiency and profitability.

2) Determine project specifications and acquire the necessary materials for completion.

DAILY AND MONTHLY RESPONSIBILITIES :

1) Assist the Project Manager / Director to establish project objectives, procedures, data collection methods, and performance standards within boundaries of company policy.

2) Prepare scheduled and necessary updates of construction activities and analysis of manpower and equipment required.

3) Create and administer appropriate testing protocols to monitor project performance.

4) Inform all supervisors and subcontractors promptly of any construction schedule changes, and work closely with all stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.

5) Maintain budgetary, scheduling, and project database oversight, and report regularly to Project Director to keep him constantly informed of job progress, plans and problems that could significantly affect costs or schedules.

6) Manage compliance, quality control, and quality assurance standards and specifications.

REQUIREMENTS :

1) Strong working knowledge of design software, AutoCAD and other computer software.

2) Ability to read drawings and tender documents.

3) Willing to work on site environment.

4) Comfortable working with subcontractors, clients and stakeholders.

The Planning Engineer is responsible for the planning, scheduling, development of sub-programs/ tracking programs for construction operations.

A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:

• Drawing up plans and presenting schedules of work, often with visual aids such as bar charts and procedures diagrams
• Progress update against baseline throughout the construction process
• Involve in coordination between sub-contractors/vendors/departments and anticipate labour/material/equipment demands to meet schedules
• Producing monthly progress reports and support in progress claims

Skills and Requirements

• Education: Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University
