• Manages project initiation activities including identifying contractual obligations, client or business needs and goals, existing situation and necessary contacts.
• Develop consistency across the team for the definition and execution of project plans, project scope, activities, schedules, budgets and deliverables.
• Identifies needed resources for projects, defines and assigns major project roles.
• Anticipate and ensure project risks are managed, issues / problems and activity progress to ensure project goals, e.g., deadline, scope and quality are achieved. Assist with problem resolutions or risk mitigation as needed.
• May manage the integration of vendor / subcontractor tasks and track and review vendor/subcontractor deliverables, if appropriate for the project.
• Serves as liaison between internal organizations as well as in client and vendor / subcontractor organizations to ensure all projects targets and requirements are met.
• Leads the delivery of steering group and executive client informational and decision seeking presentations. This includes internal FIS presentations to update internal stakeholders.
• Conducts project closure activities to formalize and communicate the project acceptance, project retrospective and a postimplementation review to identify areas of improvement.
• Directly oversee employees assigned to manage specific projects that have a distinct beginning and end. Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure that efficient operations of the function.
• Identifies project management coordination gaps or areas for improvement and recommends and implements solutions.
• Establish an effective working relationship with our offshore development centres and other functional business units e.g. pre-sales and line of business.
• Performs other related duties as required.

What you bring:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
• Project Management qualifications such PMP or Prince.
• Minimum 10 years of large project management experience.
• Knowledge of Payments products and services. Working knowledge of AWS and/or Azure hosting will be very well received.
• Knowledge of the business goals, objectives and business operations for financial institutions.
• Knowledge of financial services industry.
• Knowledge of basic financial analysis principles and ratios.
• Previous P&L or budget management experience is a must.

Overview
We are looking for an experienced Technical Manager to take charge of SCADA system engineering for rail and metro infrastructure projects. This role will lead technical strategy, ensure system robustness, and drive end-to-end engineering excellence—from early design stages through integration, testing, commissioning, and final system delivery. You will serve as the key technical decision-maker, ensuring alignment with industry standards while supporting smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Oversight & Direction

• Provide overall technical direction for SCADA and control system solutions within rail projects.
• Serve as the main subject matter expert for SCADA and PLC systems, ensuring designs meet safety, regulatory, and project-specific requirements.
• Review and endorse key engineering outputs, including system designs, interface definitions, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Establish and maintain engineering standards, design guidelines, and quality control practices across the project lifecycle.

Engineering Execution & Integration

• Oversee the full implementation of SCADA and PLC systems, from initial design through development, integration, and commissioning.
• Coordinate system interfaces across various railway subsystems such as signaling, power distribution, and operations control environments.
• Guide hardware and software integration activities to ensure seamless system performance.
• Lead and monitor testing phases, including factory and on-site validation activities, ensuring readiness for deployment.
• Ensure proper control of system changes, including software updates, configuration management, and hardware modifications.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as the primary technical interface for clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Facilitate technical discussions, design reviews, and resolution of complex engineering issues.

• Prepare and validate technical documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders and authorities.

Team Leadership & Development

Risk, Issues & System Reliability

• Support post-deployment activities, including system stabilization, defect resolution, and maintenance when required.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Around 8–12 years of experience in SCADA/PLC engineering, ideally within rail, metro, or other critical infrastructure projects.
• Prior experience in a technical leadership capacity (e.g. lead engineer, technical manager) on complex system implementations.
• Strong understanding of SCADA architectures, PLC systems, and multi-system integration in high-reliability environments.
• Hands-on familiarity with PLC programming and safety-critical system requirements.
• Experience working with platforms such as Siemens and Schneider.
• Able to interpret complex engineering documentation including schematics, system designs, and specifications.
• Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders.
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-pressure project environments.
