Role Summary

As a Data Engineer in the Lakehouse and AI Data Platform team, you will design, build, test and support data pipelines and curated datasets on the firm’s modern data platform. You will work across ingestion, transformation, modelling, optimisation and data quality, helping to deliver data products that are reliable, scalable and fit for purpose.  Where there are gaps in platform functionality, you may also contribute to shared tooling or framework components that improve how the platform is used and operated.

The role is suited to engineers who are comfortable writing code, working with SQL and distributed data processing, and solving practical delivery problems in a team environment. Pipeline Engineering

• Build, enhance and support batch and streaming data pipelines on the Lakehouse and AI data platform.

Skills and Experience

Required

Overview

Job Description

• Maintain and publish information security policies, procedures, standards and guidelines based on knowledge of best practices and compliance requirements

• Generate and follow-up on baseline scan and hardening compliance checks

• Handle security incidents and alerts from GCSOC, GICS and security devices - Compile and review access rights report

• Perform regular user and infrastructure account/logins reviews - Handle and assess reported phishing emails

• Manage and track security advisories from GITSIR and Principals

• Review and follow-up on security events generated by Splunk, ArcSight and other SIEM tools Perform and generate regular VA report. Do assessment and follow-up of vulnerabilities identified from servers, network and web application scans

• Collaborate with stakeholders for risk management, mitigation and remediation measure.

• Perform patch management tasks such as maintaining current knowledge of available patches, deciding what patches are appropriate for systems and work with Ops team to ensure required patches are installed within timeframe

• Liaise and support IT security audit and review, track open audit issues to closure - Identify issues that could bring impact and escalate any serious issues and violations, highlight security status and concerns to management

• Periodic reporting of security status to management - Point of contact to assist and advise on ICT security related matters

Qualifications

• Minimum six (6) years of ICT End User Computing or Infra Support - Service Desk Agent experience with networking and system administration experience as well as exposure in project management in ICT projects;

• Possess expert-level troubleshooting skills and analysis methods for the purpose of providing expert advice and assisting Level 1 and Level 2 Desktop and Infra Support

• Support Engineers to resolve escalated issues;

• Possess strong and proven experience in designing and developing one or more courses of action, evaluating each of these courses in a test case environment, and implementing the best solution to the problem;

• Possess excellent communication skills to demonstrate and present the solution to the Customer, and the solution will also be made available for future troubleshooting and analysis recorded in proper documentation.

• Possess at least one (1) of the following certification or educational qualification:

• Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSE) in one or more of the following:

• Desktop Infrastructure, Server Infrastructure, Communication -or equivalent;

• Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or equivalent;

• Microsoft Certified Masters (MCM) or Microsoft Certified Architect (MCA) or equivalent;

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or equivalent;

• Be technically competent and able to articulate clearly to senior members of staff and faculty (VIPs)

• o Microservices interface contracts, event schemas, callback payloads 
• o Sequence diagrams, state machines, mapping specs, error models 
• Define end-to-end orchestration flows for: 
• o Pre-Payment initiation, acceptance, expiry, rejection 
• o Entitlement and Auth Matrix lifecycle events
• o Template, Past Payment, Bene Master 
• Specify robust pre-processing logic: Customer/account validation, Entitlement and authorisation checks, Funds availability, Limits, thresholds, duplicate suppression, Idempotency, retry and timeout handling

API & Microservices Architecture

• Define API and microservices designs using existing components from previous builds: Payment initiation microservices, Validation & entitlement services, Fraud/AML adapters, Core banking and ledger integration patterns 
• Reuse existing: API standards (naming conventions, response structures, error formats), Security models (OAuth2/JWT, mTLS, signature validation), Eventing patterns (Kafka topics, event schemas, DLQ handling), Common libraries for logging, telemetry, utility functions 
• Ensure microservices follow engineering principles: Loose coupling, clear domain boundaries. Async event-driven integration where applicable, High availability and horizontal scalability, Observability (structured logs, metrics, tracing) 

User Journeys, Entitlements & Authorisation 

• Define user journeys for: Pre-Payment Workflow like payment initiation, Beneficiary Master, Bulk Processing 
• Align journeys with entitlements and auth rules: Per-transaction and daily limits o Maker-checker workflows for corporates, Channel-specific access rights
•  Coordinate with channel teams to maintain parity across Mobile, Internet Banking, H2H and API Banking. 

Integration & Platform Engineering

• Design integration between: Payment Hub / RFP Orchestrator, Payment gateway, Core banking, ledger, AML, fraud 
• · Use existing microservices blueprints for: Error propagation and code mapping, Schema validation and transformation, Event lifecycle management, Callback patterns and async updates 

Testing, Deployment & Operational Readiness

• Lead SIT/UAT/E2E test scenario design for: Corporate Internet Banking Channels, Entitlements, Auth matrix, Pre-payment flow like payment initiation, validation and submission, Timeouts, retries, negative tests 
• Work with Engineering & Ops to ensure: Monitoring dashboards and alerts, Reconciliation and exception queues, Runbooks for replay, retry and operational fixes
