What will you do?

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team dedicated to building and scaling our flagship customer-facing digital products. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining resilient, high performance services and APIs that power exceptional user experiences. Expertise in AWS infrastructure and modern architectural patterns is essential for success in this role.

• Design and Development: Architect, develop, and deploy scalable microservices using Java and Python, ensuring high availability and performance.
• AWS Infrastructure: Collaborate with DevOps to deploy and manage applications utilizing core AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, SQS/SNS, DynamoDB).
• Architecture & Standards: Apply principles of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and leverage Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) to build maintainable and decoupled systems.
• API Management: Design, implement, and secure robust, scalable RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs using an AWS API Gateway.
• Quality & Testing: Write comprehensive automated tests (Unit, Integration, E2E) and participate in peer code reviews to maintain high code quality and reliability.
• CI/CD & Deployment: Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., using GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline) and deploy services using Docker and ECS/Fargate or EKS.
• Observability: Implement monitoring, logging, and tracing tools to ensure high-level observability of production systems (e.g., using CloudWatch, X-Ray, Prometheus/Grafana).
• Security: Champion secure coding practices (OWASP Top 10) and ensure all services comply with security best practices and compliance standards.
• Efficiency: Proactively adopt modern developer tools, including AI Coding Assistants, to enhance productivity and code quality.

What are we looking for?

• Experience: 3+ years of professional experience as a Backend Software Engineer working on production systems.
• Core Languages: Expert proficiency in Java and Python.
• Cloud Computing: Strong, hands-on experience developing and deploying applications within the AWS ecosystem.
• Architecture: Proven understanding and experience implementing Microservices Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Data Stores: Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB preferred).
• DevOps: Familiarity with CI/CD processes and experience with containerization using Docker.
• Security: Knowledge of industry-standard secure coding practices.
• Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively with product managers, UX designers, and other engineering teams.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with a focus on finding pragmatic solutions to complex technical challenges.
• Product Focus: Ability to translate business requirements and user stories into robust technical designs and deliverables.

As a Software Principal Engineer (AI Empowered), you will be a key hands‑on leader who architects, builds, and operationalizes AI platforms and accelerates engineering through AI‑assisted development. You will:

AI Platform Engineering

• Design, develop, and operate core AI platform components: MLOps pipelines, data handling, model serving, and observability.
• Implement and manage LLM tooling and prompt engineering frameworks; define reusable patterns for agents and retrieval workflows (e.g., vector databases).
• Deploy and maintain scalable compute environments on Kubernetes/OpenShift, VxRail, ensuring high availability, performance, and cost efficiency for AI workloads.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across the stack — from infrastructure and networking to runtime and application layers; contribute to technical documentation and platform best practices.
• Optimize GPU scheduling, resource management, and model runtime performance in containerized environments.

AI‑Assisted Application Engineering

• Drive adoption of AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., code generation, intelligent testing, automated documentation) and integrate LLM‑based services into engineering workflows.
• Build and maintain automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines that leverage AI for code quality, security scanning, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with platform engineers and product teams to embed AI capabilities into solution platforms (e.g., OpenShift, VxRail, VMware ecosystem).
• Develop reference implementations, guardrails, and best practices for AI‑assisted engineering across multiple product teams.
• Mentor engineers in effective use of AI tools to improve productivity while maintaining high‑quality standards; evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend adoption strategies.

Essential Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, with 5+ years in software engineering or platform development.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or Java; solid CS fundamentals and hands‑on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Experience building/managing ML or high‑performance computing infrastructure; familiarity with LLM ecosystems (e.g., LangChain, vector databases).
• Proficiency with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and enterprise software delivery.
• Experience with AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, CodeWhisperer) or integrating LLM services into engineering workflows.

Desirable Requirements

• Experience with VMware technologies (vSphere, Tanzu) and Dell platforms (VxRail, PowerStore) and knowledge of GPU resource management in containerized environments.
• Familiarity with hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI), enterprise storage, and network virtualization (e.g., VMware NSX) and hands-on experience with infrastructure automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Helm).
