What will you do?

The Full Stack Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable, high-performance, and secure web applications. The role requires expertise in frontend and backend development, cloud technologies, DevOps automation, and application security. Engineers must work in an agile, DevOps-driven environment, ensuring high software quality, security, and maintainability.

What are we looking for?

• Proficient in database design and various databases (e.g. SQL, PostgreSQL, AWS S3, Athena, etc).
• Familiar with W3C Document Object Model and customized web scraping (e.g. BeautifulSoup, react, CasperJS, PhantomJS, Selenium, Nodejs, etc).
• Comfortable in at least one scripting language (eg. SQL, Python).
• Proficient in building batch jobs (e.g. AWS Database Migration Services (DMS), Python, AWS Lambda, ECS Container task, Eventbridge, AWS Glue).
• Knowledge about system design, data structure and algorithms.
• Relevant working experience as a developer or equivalent in at least 3 Agile/ full project development life cycle and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in relevant
• Strong proficiency in both frontend and backend development
• Strong problem-solving skills and able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels

Frontend Technologies:

• JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Frontend frameworks such as React.js, Next.js, Vue.js
• Experience with wireframing and prototyping tools (Figma).

Backend Technologies:

• Node.js
• RESTful APIs, GraphQL, gRPC, and WebSockets for service communication.

Backend Scalability & API Design:

• Strong experience in API design principles, including REST, GraphQL, gRPC, and
• WebSockets.
• Familiarity with backend service scalability strategies (horizontal scaling, autoscaling, load balancing).

DevOps, Cloud, and Infrastructure:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Jenkins).
• Cloud solutioning and hand-on experience with AWS Cloud (ECS Fargate
• containers, API Gateway, RDS PostgreSQL, Networking). Government Commercial
• Cloud – GCC will be beneficial.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)

Security Best Practices:

• Strong knowledge of frontend security (CSP, CORS, XSS prevention).
• Able to build Scripts and API Integrations with knowledge of JWT, JWKS, Cognito and Authorisers.
• Familiarity with cloud security (IAM, Secrets Management, OWASP Top 10).

Software Quality & Testing:

• Experience with unit and integration testing (Jest, Cypress, Playwright, Pact).
• Backend testing using Postman, Supertest, contract testing.
• Relevant experience in and knowledge of microservice architecture
• Experience in working will LLM, e.g. Open AI, Amazon Q, Gemini
• Familiarity with governance, adoption of digital services in enterprise IT environments.
• Work experience and strong troubleshooting skills in resolving application
• infrastructure (including desktop, server, network) and security related issues in a (Singapore) government environment.

About the Role

We are seeking a talented and driven Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and architectures that support business analytics and data science initiatives. You will be working side by side with the network core team in ensuring network availability and serviceability for a secure, resilient and stable distributed environment. Your primary responsibility is to support and maintain the network access layer for our enterprise networks. You will manage access to the wired and wireless networks; ensuring last-mile connectivity for multiple locations. In addition, you will also manage the network communications rooms at these locations; providing cabling interconnect services for structured cabling, and liaising with Facilities Management to ensure uninterrupted power and cooling delivery to the rooms. You may be called upon to support certain network functions in the Data Centre.

Be Part of Our Success

Manage wired and wireless network access infrastructure & support Data Centre network operations

• Administer and support network infrastructure including network routers, switches, wireless access points, WLAN controllers, AAA servers and encryptors
• Respond and diagnose tickets related to network access and performance issues
• Service and close support tickets to relocate or add client endpoints' wired network access
• Service and close support tickets to resolve client endpoints' wireless access
• Troubleshoot, triage and resolve client endpoints' 802.1X authentication/authorization access issues and escalate, if necessary, L2 and L3 issues
• Monitor availability of network access and provide immediate response and/or investigation to system alerts
• Troubleshoot and assist with root cause analysis of incidents replacing failed network components
• Support and perform routine automation tasks to ensure compliance for secure configuration, configuration backup management and routine firmware upgrades/updates
• Manage operational activities and implement changes
• Track network equipment support lifecycle, procure and support refresh activities to project closure and payment
• Track equipment maintenance support agreements and telco circuits contracts, procure contract renewal and make payment
• Support project teams in the delivery of wider IT service

Manage Network Comms Rooms at sites and Data Centre

• Standardise and provision cable interconnects for network access and Data Centre
• Respond and attend to alerts to resolve UPS and PDU faults
• Work with contractors to replace faulty rackmount UPS and PDU for Network Comms Rooms
• Interface and coordinate with Facilities Management for M&E issues (air-con, electrical, fire safety) for Network Comms Rooms
• Escort external vendors/contractors for network related activities

Inventory and Documentation

• Create and maintain clear and concise documentation of the environment
• Maintain up-to-date documentation on rack layout and cabling interconnects
• Manage and maintain up-to-date inventory control
• Perform periodic inventory audits and review
• Adhere to organisation procedure to retire obsolete equipment

Qualities We Value

• Preferably with formal technical certification such as Cisco CCNA
• Experience in scripting and programming with network automation tooling on  Ansible, Python, Terraform, GitLab is a plus

Professional Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in information technology or any related discipline.

Skills:

Job Summary

Support the installation, monitoring, and maintenance of server and network hardware and software under supervision, ensuring smooth operations and timely escalation of issues in a data center environment.

Responsibilities

• Unbox, rack, and cable server and network hardware following instructions from senior engineers
• Install Windows and Linux operating systems and maintain accurate installation documentation
• Monitor VMware and Proxmox dashboards to detect alerts and perform VM tasks such as snapshots, reboots, and resource adjustments
• Respond to hardware alarms and troubleshoot desktop and connectivity issues as the first line of defense
• Participate in standby rotation to address critical outages or hardware failures outside standard hours and escalate complex issues to senior staff

Required competencies and certifications

• 1–2 years of experience in System Administration or Engineering
• Diploma in System & Network or equivalent certifications

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Windows Server roles and Linux command line usage
• Understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, and physical network cabling
• Ability to work in a data center environment, including moving and installing heavy equipment
