Role Purpose

We are seeking a versatile IT professional to fill a hybrid role that combines Deskside Support and System Engineering. The successful candidate will split their time between providing high-touch technical support for our 60-person Singapore office and collaborating with the Group Headquarters to implement and maintain systems and infrastructure. This role requires a unique blend of "hands-on" hardware skills and "high-level" system administration capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Part 1: Deskside Support & Local Operations (20%)

• User Support: Act as the primary on-site point of contact for 60 staff members, providing professional technical assistance via email, remote tools, or in-person.

• Identity & Access: Manage the full user lifecycle in Active Directory and Microsoft 365, including MFA configuration and password resets.

• Hardware & Asset Lifecycle:

Job Requirements

The Infrastructure Services Team under Technology ensures the resilience, security, and high-performance of technology infrastructure across various functions of service monitoring, incident management, and technical support. The team ensures seamless operation, maintenance, and strategic growth of core infrastructure components, including networks, servers, storage, middleware, and databases.

The Senior Network Engineer will report to the Network Manager and is responsible for the daily management of network operations, ensuring its alignment with organisational growth and operational objectives

 KeyResponsibilities

 NetworkAdministration

·        Perform network administration in a heterogeneous environment (production, DR, test)comprising of network and security equipment, telecommunication links

·        Perform hardening, upgrade, and enhancement on IT infrastructure components

·        Monitor, assess, schedule, and implement network and product-specific security vulnerability patches

·        Monitor the obsolescence of IT infrastructure components (network systems)

·        Monitor expiry and perform renewal of network system passwords and certificates

·        Implement network backup operations to ensure data recoverability and business continuity

·        Executed disaster recovery plans for IT infrastructure (network systems) and conducted regular disaster recovery (DR) testing and component switchover exercises to ensure usability of standby and DR equipment

·        24 x 7 support is required (Need to work in 5 x shifts)

Project Management and Support

·        Provide system and network support for projects in accordance with the project timeline

·        Manage infrastructure enhancement and projects in accordance with established project management guidelines

Incident and Problem Management

·        Provide second-level network support and resolve incidents and problems in accordance with the established Service Level Agreement (SLA)

·        Perform problem diagnosis on incidents and propose & implementmeasures to prevent recurrence

Change and Release Management

·        Schedule and release network system changes to the production environment in accordance with the change management process/ procedures

·        Present and articulate change requests in CAB or CAMC

Configuration Management

·        Develop and maintain a comprehensive operating system, hardware, and software configuration database/ library of all IT infrastructure components used in the production environment

Capacity and Performance Management

·        Perform infrastructure system and network capacity monitoring and planning

·        Monitor and perform performance tuning to optimize network performance

Process Management

·        Implement the underlying processes supporting IT service management, in conformance with corporate security policies and guidelines

·        Documentation

·        Develop and maintain technical and process documents to upkeep the IT infrastructure

Job Description:

• 1. System and Hardware Management:
• Support and manage various operating systems including Windows Server, Linux (RHEL, SUSE, Ubuntu), Solaris, IBM AIX, and Oracle Linux.
• Manage system software and hardware such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, ADFS, Azure AD, clustering solutions, SAN/NAS storage, and virtualization platforms.
