Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Head of Reception to lead our front desk operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring a seamless client experience, managing daily administrative tasks, and supervising reception staff. The ideal candidate is personable, proactive, and has prior experience using Mindbody, with a strong understanding of front desk operations in a fitness or wellness environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily front desk operations and ensure smooth studio flow
• Lead, train, and manage reception team members
• Deliver outstanding customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere for all clients
• Manage class bookings, schedules, and client accounts via Mindbody
• Handle client inquiries, concerns, and feedback professionally and efficiently
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and studio data
• Coordinate with instructors and management to ensure optimal scheduling and operations
• Support sales initiatives, including memberships, packages, and retail
• Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and aligned with brand standards
Requirements:
• Previous experience in a front desk or reception leadership role (fitness/wellness industry preferred)
• Proficiency with Mindbody software is essential
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Customer-focused mindset with a positive, professional attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in boutique fitness studios or hospitality environments
• Sales experience or comfort with membership/retail targets
• Passion for fitness, wellness, or community-building environments
