You will execute and support research in laser material processing, ranging from laser surface texturing, laser cleaning, laser micro-machining, laser peening, and laser metal deposition. Our client is an MNC Consultancy in the water and wastewater industry. With more than 100-year heritage, helping companies across the globe efficiently and effectively collect, store, move and treat water and wastewater, plan and manage watersheds and harness the energy embedded in the treatment and movement of water.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assist Lead Resident Engineer in daily close supervision and coordination duties
• Inspect and supervise Contractors’ works and tests to Approved Drawings and Specifications
• Enforce compliance to specifications, national regulations, local Authorities’ requirements, Singapore Standards and good industry practices
• Attend site meetings and resolve technical issues with Contractors
• Review and comment on Contractors’ submissions, prepare and follow-up on comments closed out
• Oversee inspection and special testing requirements and ensure coordination of those efforts on all contracts
• Ensure inspection documentation fully complies with the local Authorities’ requirements
• Compile site progress status and photos into PowerPoint slides and present to Client during progress meetings with Client
• Attend weekly site safety inspections or ad-hoc inspections
• Prepare and manage the RTO duty rosters and disseminate to RSS C&S Team and contractors
• Check and sign the IRFs (inspection request forms) prior to inspection and manage the IRF closures

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• Registered as Resident Engineer with the Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore / Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in construction of large infrastructure project or waste/water management projects, particularly foundation piles, earth retaining or stabilizing structures, instrumentation & monitoring, ground improvement and soil investigation works

Key Responsibilities

Integration & Workflow Engineering

• Analyse and re-platform existing workflow-based integrations from one platform to another while maintaining functional parity.
• Implement orchestration logic including triggers, conditional routing, retries, exception handling, and state management.
• Design and implement automation patterns to handle platform limitations (e.g., looping, batching, pagination, throttling).
• Ensure workflows are idempotent, fault tolerant.
• Support environment-based deployments (DEV / UAT / PROD) with configuration-driven designs.

Data Engineering & ETL

• Design and build ETL pipelines for ingesting flat files (e.g., CSV) into relational databases.
• Handle schema validation, basic schema evolution, data quality checks, and error reconciliation.
• Optimize data ingestion for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with application teams to understand upstream and downstream data dependencies.

Cloud & Big Data Platform Contributions

• Build and maintain data pipelines on cloud-based big data platforms using distributed processing frameworks.
• Contribute to Lakehouse-style data storage that supports both batch and streaming data.
• Work with modern table formats that support incremental processing, versioning, and historical queries.
• Support use cases such as append-heavy datasets, high-write event data, and analytical queries.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with workflow orchestration / integration platforms.
• Solid understanding of ETL concepts and hands-on experience with file-based ingestion.
• Proficient in SQL and working knowledge of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server or equivalent).
• Experience with distributed data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark).
• Familiarity with streaming and batch data processing concepts.
• Practical experience with cloud platforms and managed data services.
• Understanding of CI/CD principles for data and integration workflows.

Programming & Automation

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

• Conduct cloud security assessments, architecture reviews and risk assessments for GCC and public sector cloud environments on AWS and Azure
• Design, implement and maintain secure cloud architecture, landing zones, guardrails and baseline configurations across AWS and Azure platforms
• Harden cloud infrastructure, services, virtual machines, containers and platform components based on approved security standards and benchmarks
• Develop scripts and Infrastructure as Code to automate cloud security hardening, monitoring, compliance checks and remediation activities
• Implement and manage cloud identity and access management controls including least privilege, federation, privileged access, secrets and key management
• Configure and maintain cloud security controls such as network segmentation, firewalls, WAF, DDoS protection, private connectivity and encryption
• Maintain cloud security monitoring, logging and alerting capabilities, and support threat detection, investigation and incident response activities
• Work with Cloud, DevOps and Application teams to integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines and secure software delivery processes

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS NEEDED

• Min 6 years of experience in cloud security engineering, cloud security assessment, analysis and remediation
• Experience in AWS and Azure, including GCC and public sector / regulated cloud environments, will be an added advantage
• Experience in secure cloud architecture design, landing zones, account/subscription segregation and cloud governance will be an added advantage
• Experience in agile development environment will be an added advantage
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery using GitLab, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or other similar tools will be an added advantage
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, ARM templates or equivalent will be an added advantage

• Experience with IAM, PAM, zero trust, encryption, PKI, SIEM/SOAR, incident response and cloud logging will be an added advantage
• Experience with vulnerability management and cloud-native security testing tools, including SAST, DAST, SCA, secrets scanning or equivalent will be an added advantage

• Certified cloud and security professionals such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500), Azure Solutions Architect, CCSP, CCSK, CISSP, CISM or equivalent will be an added advantage

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, analysis, and planning of civil and structural engineering works
• Prepare design calculations, drawings, and authority submissions
• Ensure timely submission of plans and reports to consultants and relevant authorities
• Coordinate and liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and other trades (e.g. M&E and architectural) on project specifications and technical matters
• Support project coordination and oversee civil/structural works on site, ensuring activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings
• Attend site meetings, technical discussions, and site inspections during the construction phase (including taking minutes when required)
• Monitor and track test reports, structural tests (ST), Green Mark requirements, and constructability initiatives
• Maintain proper document control and compilation in accordance with company ISO standards

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  (e.g. Singapore Polytechnic, Temasek Polytechnic, SIT, BCA Academy, NTU, NUS)
