As part of their strategic growth, they are establishing the Professional Rescue & Tactical Division, dedicated to serving government and public safety sectors including law enforcement, fire services, and rescue organizations.

They are now looking for a Naval Architect to be based in Singapore. This is a unique opportunity to play a foundational role in building the presence in Singapore and shaping a new division focused on mission-critical vessels. You will be involved in the design, engineering, and development of professional-grade vessels, supporting both new builds and modifications of existing platforms. The role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external design partners to deliver high-performance, compliant, and mission-ready boats.

Key Responsibilities

Vessel Design & Development

·       Contribute to the design and development of new professional vessels for government and rescue applications

·       Adapt and customize existing boat platforms to meet operational and mission-specific requirements

·       Collaborate with external naval architects, design agencies, and engineering partners

·       Support the integration of specialized equipment for law enforcement, firefighting, and rescue missions

Engineering & Analysis

·       Conduct structural assessments and scantling calculations using tools such as HullScant or similar

·       Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate structural integrity

·       Utilize hydrodynamic and performance prediction software

·       Ensure compliance with relevant marine standards, including ISO 12215 and ISO 12217

3D Modeling & Documentation

·       Create and maintain detailed 3D CAD models of vessels and components

·       Produce engineering drawings and technical documentation for manufacturing and certification

·       Assist in prototyping, testing, and validation processes

Cross-Functional Collaboration

·       Participate in technical discussions with external partners and certification authorities

Requirements

·       Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline

·       Hands-on experience performing Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

·       Proficiency in 3D CAD software

·       Experience with naval architecture and analysis tools

·       Strong knowledge of marine design standards including ISO 12215 and ISO 12217

·       Experience working on professional, commercial, or mission-specific vessels is advantageous

·       Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
