Job Requirements:

• At least a Bachelor’s Degree in in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Prior experience of CNC machining, familiarity with machining processes and equipment, knowledge of machine communication (OPC-UA, TCP/IP) is advantageous.

The successful candidate will work with Professor Zhou Weibiao on nutritional profile analysis and in vitro digestion of food materials under a project on alternative proteins, funded by the Singapore Food Story R&D Programme 2.0.

The part you will play

This role will work closely with the Regional Learning & Development Specialist in supporting the development, coordination, and implementation of learning programs for both employees and clients. As an L&D Associate, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to help create engaging, organized, and impactful training experiences.

As a Learning & Development Associate, you will 

• Assist in developing digital and instructor-led training modules.
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to translate technical knowledge into engaging learning experiences.
• Collaborate in producing courses weekly using SCORM authoring tools for external clients.
• Act as a Project Team B member, supporting the production and revision of course outputs for clients.
• Manage content uploads, updates, and organization in the LMS.
• Assist the L&D Specialist in the rollout of courses and in mapping onboarding journeys.
• Track training activities, collect feedback, and prepare basic reports.
• Provide logistical support for training rollouts.

What we are looking for - the ideal profile

• 2-5 years of relevant work experience in training, education, HR, or related fields.
• Proficiency in using Articulate as a SCORM authoring tool (e.g., Storyline, Rise).
• Highly resourceful in creating engaging and effective learning materials.
• Strong understanding of learning principles, including instructional design best practices.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace; familiarity with e-learning tools is a plus.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to support training delivery and engage with learners.

[Contract Position]

Job Description

You will provide operational, administrative and data support for the TEACH & Community Programmes, ensuring smooth programme delivery, strong data management and reliable systems support. This role includes analysing programme and operational data, supporting digital systems, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders to enable informed decision-making.

Responsibilities

1. Programme Implementation and Management

·       Support the promotion of programmes to the relevant target groups and community partners

·      Manage operational and administrative matters relating to student engagement, including class assignment, fee collection, attendance tracking, distribution of curriculum materials and retention, in accordance with organisational and divisional governance protocols and timelines

·      Manage operational and administrative matters relating to the deployment, service delivery, evaluation, retention, remuneration and professional development of tutors and auxiliary personnel assigned to centres, in accordance with organisational and divisional governance protocols and timelines

·      Manage operational and administrative matters relating to the smooth running of centres and assigned programme venues, in accordance with organisational and divisional governance protocols and timelines

·      Monitor and update all relevant data in the Education Management System (EMS)

·      Collate students’ internal assessment results to support the evaluation of academic performance and recognition

·      Identify students who require additional support in skills development, family circumstances or finances, and refer them to the appropriate internal or external partners in consultation with the Education Operations Manager and overseeing Head of Department

·      Manage and report all feedback received within the stipulated timelines to the Education Programme Manager and overseeing Head of Department

·      Conduct audits of programme operations and deliverables, and submit reports to the respective Manager and Head of Department

·      Manage other assigned secondary duties in accordance with organisational and divisional governance protocols and timelines

2. Procurement and Financial Administration

·       Manage the procurement of programme-related subscriptions and services in accordance with established standard operating procedures, financial policies and procurement guidelines

·      Support quotation sourcing, evaluation and vendor coordination to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely delivery

·      Track procurement records, inventory costs and utilisation to support budget monitoring and audit requirements

·      Liaise with vendors to manage orders, deliveries, discrepancies and performance-related issues

3. Data Management, Reporting and Analysis

·       Maintain accurate and up-to-date programme, student, tutor and inventory records in the Education Management System (EMS) and related platforms

·      Perform data validation and cleansing to ensure consistency and reliability across reports

·      Analyse and interpret programme, operational and resource data to generate insights that support planning and informed decision-making by Management

·      Prepare routine and ad hoc reports, dashboards and summaries for internal stakeholders

·      Support divisional KPI, audit and management reporting requirements

4. Projects, Events and Cross-Functional Support

·       Participate as a member of functional, working or steering committees for divisional and organisation-wide initiatives and events

·      Provide operational, data and systems support for pilots, enhancements and improvement projects within TEACH & Community Programmes

·      Assist in coordinating divisional activities such as work plan sessions, retreats or awards-related operations, where required

Requirements

·       Diploma or Degree in any discipline, preferably in Education, Business Administration, Information Management, Data Analytics or a related field, with 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in education operations, programme administration, data support or systems support roles

·      Good understanding of the Singapore education landscape

·      Demonstrated ability to engage and manage diverse groups of stakeholders (Centre Principals, Centre Administrators, Tutors, Parents, Vendors, students etc.) to ensure smooth programme delivery and prompt resolution of operational issues 

·      Demonstrated experience in procurement, inventory management, and operational administration

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g., Excel dashboards, Power BI, Tableau) will be considered an added advantage

·       Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights

·      Experience using operational systems or databasessuch as EMS, CRM, and programme management tools

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·       Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

·      Able to participate in SINDA-wide events, when required

·      Approved Over-time hours will be compensated with time off or off-in lieu in accordance with internal policy

Selection Process

Research Assistant/Associate (Community Innovation and Applied Social Research)

The Lee Kuan Yew Centre for Innovative Cities (LKYCIC) at the Singapore University of Technology and Design(SUTD) invites applications for full-time Research Assistant/Associate appointments to support applied research and innovation projects on people, communities, and cities.

The position is suited for candidates with strong interests in mixed-methods social science research, social policy innovation, community development, and translating research into real-world impact. The successful applicant will join an interdisciplinary teamworking at the intersection of behavioural science, urban planning, public health, sustainability, and community activation.

About the role

The successful candidate will contribute to projects in LKYCIC focusing on understanding how social and built environments shape individual and community outcomes, and how research can be translated into practical interventions, programmes, policies, and design solutions.

Current and upcoming projects include:

• Social capital and community resilience in neighbourhoods and community hubs
• Climate adaptation, urban heat resilience, and sustainable living
• Community activation and citizen engagement initiatives
•  Population health and healthy neighbourhoods
• Design and evaluation of community-based interventions
• Development of practical tools, frameworks, and guidelines for policymakers and practitioners

Projects typically involve a combination of surveys, interviews, focus groups, behavioural observations, workshops, participatory design activities, and field-based research conducted in partnership with government agencies, community organisations, industry partners, and residents. Depending on the project, researchers may also have opportunities to work with digital platforms, spatial data, and emerging AI-enabled tools that support research, community engagement, programme design, and policy innovation.

Key responsibilities

The candidate will be expected to:

• Support the design and implementation of mixed-methods research studies
• Conduct literature reviews and evidence synthesis
• Design and administer surveys, interviews, focus groups, and workshops
• Conduct field observations and community-based data collection
• Analyse qualitative and quantitative data using appropriate methods and software
• Assist in stakeholder engagement, participatory design, and community activation activities
• Support project management, coordination, and reporting
• Prepare research reports, policy briefs, presentations, and academic manuscripts
• Contribute to the translation of research findings into practical recommendations, interventions, and tools
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary researchers and external partners

The Centre may, at its discretion, assign additional responsibilities from time to time, such as teaching or other duties aligned with the Centre’s needs.

Skills and qualifications required

• Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree (MA, MSc, March, MPP or equivalent) in sociology, public policy, geography, urban studies, architecture, public health, psychology, community development, social work, behavioural science, environmental studies, or related disciplines
• ⁠Demonstrated interest in applied social science research, real-world impact, and the translation of research into practical interventions, programmes, policies, or design solutions
• Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative research methods, including survey design, interviews, focus groups, observations, workshops, or field-based research
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise good judgement and initiative in complex real-world settings
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present research insights clearly to academic, policy, practitioner, and community audiences
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within interdisciplinary and partner-facing teams
• Interest in community engagement, social innovation, urban issues, sustainability, public health, and/or policy development

Job Title: Research Technician/Assistant (Sputtering Systems)

About Us
We are an early-stage venture team developing advanced thin film materials and deposition workflow technologies for applications in optics, photonics, and memory. Our work focuses on high quality coatings and process development using sputtering-based techniques.

Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on and reliable research technician to operate and manage our sputtering system, support day-to-day experimental work, and ensure smooth lab operations. This role is critical in enabling consistent thin film deposition for internal R&D and external projects.

Key Responsibilities
• Operate and manage a sputtering system (e.g. AJA International sputtering system) independently
• Perform thin film deposition for various projects and customer requirements
• Execute day-to-day experiments following defined process parameters and protocols
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and process deviations
• Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs, including vacuum systems (pumps, leak checks, seals), gas lines and plumbing and electrical connections and wiring
• Support process optimization and data collection
• Maintain proper documentation of experiments, parameters, and results
• Ensure safe operation of equipment and adherence to lab safety protocols

Requirements• Minimum Diploma in Engineering (Materials Science, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field)
• Prior experience operating sputtering or vacuum deposition systems is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with vacuum systems, gas handling, and thin film processes
• Hands-on experience with basic troubleshooting and maintenance
• Comfortable working with electrical systems, plumbing / gas lines, mechanical components
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of equipment and processes

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)• Experience with sputtering systems or similar PVD tools
• Background in thin film characterization or materials processing
• Experience in a research lab or cleanroom environment
