WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Quantitative Research Analyst, you’ll provide analysis in the commodity space. Your main responsibilities include:

• Conducting research for improving predictions in the commodities markets
• Using data to gather insights, improve decision making and performance
• Being a subject matter expert on your given market and asset class

Job Description:

IMH is looking for intermediate operations research data analysts/scientists who are passionate about healthcare analytics to expand the hospital’s analytic capabilities.

Successful candidates will be imbedded in an experienced analytics team that will be overall responsible for managing projects and their deliverables. This will afford the candidate an opportunity to gain experience related to the role of OR in change management, process improvement, and policy planning. They will work with an existing team of seven data engineers and biostatisticians to improve the utility of information derived from existing databases. They will also work with clinicians and hospital administrators to develop models and simulations geared toward resource optimisation, performance improvement and scenario testing. 

In addition to building simulations and maintaining models, the position will require the candidate to help the hospital expand its existing human capital by sharing their knowledge and operations research experience with the data- engineering team in which they will be imbedded. Successful candidates will have a keen interest in supporting the development of colleagues.

Candidates must be familiar with major operations research methods, such as, optimization (e.g. linear programming), forecasting (e.g. exponential smoothing and autoregressive models), stochastic processes (e.g. Markov Chains) as well as simulation models (e.g. Monte Carlo and discrete-event). Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct research analysis, market intelligence and trend tracking for the residential and commercial sectors.
• Monitor macroeconomic and industry trends by compiling, preparing and managing high-quality market data for report analysis.
• Strong aptitude in research and data analytics with relevant experience working with statistical tools to interpret and analyze data.
• Write research reports and produce infographics for clients’ business needs.
• Prepare materials for presentations and support research training.

Job Requirements:

• Min. Degree in Real Estate, Economics, Statistics, Business or related field, candidates with at least 2 years' experience in commercial markets preferred  
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, and analyse data sets with accuracy.
• Proficient in writing and statistics.
• Candidates familiar with Real Estate research will be of advantage.
• Meticulous and detail-oriented.
•  Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Good command of written and oral English.
• Experience with machine learning/data modelling for data analysis, programming languages like Python, R, VBA and/or knowledge of Power BI, scripting, of JAVA is an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Collate relevant and important data that are pertinent to the research assignment delivered by the Company and perform quantitative analysis on the data to provide insights, analysis and forecast of industry development;
• Researching, writing and publishing a series of reports on a topic-by-topic basis that would also contribute to a benchmarking library on the topic;
• Design questionnaire/survey according to the scope of work required, conduct interviews with industry players to collate required data and information and developing excellent power point presentation to share its findings;
• Contribute to the reputation of the Company and its research business through all forms of client contact, speaking engagements, press interviews and general availability for marketing and related activities.

Requirements:

• Possess a recognised degree(Masters preferred);

The Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health (SSHSPH) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) is recruiting a Research Assistant/Associate Policy Analyst. This project aims to evaluate the impact of interventions (e.g. Age Well SG and related community-based programmes) on health outcomes, functional status, healthcare utilisation, and wellbeing among older adults. The study will draw on longitudinal and administrative datasets and will involve quantitative analysis and policy-relevant modelling to inform ageing and healthcare policies in Singapore. This is a full-time position based in Singapore.

Duties may include, but are not limited to: (1) providing programming support for research projects; (2) conducting statistical and econometric analyses using longitudinal and administrative data; (3) managing large and complex datasets; (4) evaluating programme impacts on health, frailty, and healthcare utilisation; (5) supporting cost and policy modelling; (6) conducting literature reviews; and (7) contributing to scientific manuscripts, reports, and dissemination of findings.
