Job Description

The candidate will be responsible for developing printable inks based on natural material-derived precursors, such as natural materials-derived calcium phosphate, or related biomineral materials. The work will involve optimizing ink rheology, printability, shape fidelity, and structural stability for extrusion-based 3D printing. The candidate will also design and fabricate porous scaffold architectures with controlled pore size, porosity, and interconnectivity, while optimizing printing parameters such as nozzle size, extrusion pressure, printing speed, and layer height.

A key part of the project will involve post-processing and material conversion of the printed constructs. The candidate will develop and optimize sintering or thermal treatment protocols to convert printed structures into bone-relevant ceramic phases. You will be part of a dynamic research team working on topics relevant to Electrification, Grids Testing and Certification based at the Electrification and Power Grids Centre (EPGC). The Testing & Certification team focuses on establishing capabilities and physical test setups to support emerging industry requirements for testing and verification of energy related applications such as energy storage systems (ESS), microgrid solutions, photovoltaic (PV) inverters, electric vehicle (EV) charging systems, and AI data centers.  This position is to recruit a member of the research team to work on a project on microgrid cybersecurity and digital twins.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will need to actively support R&D projects at EPGC in terms of project development, testing and verification/validation activities, test logistics planning/coordination, and sourcing and procurement.

• The role will include the following:

  • Assist in development of digital twins of power system networks, control/energy management systems and DERs such as ESS, PV and EV chargers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• This position is for School of Computing and Information Systems (SCIS).
• Design and implement AI for software engineering solutions.
• Conduct evaluations and/or user studies to validate the effectiveness of the algorithms and tools,.
• Write and publish research papers and present them to reputable academic conferencesd.
• Package the documents, implementation code, evaluation results of the project for public release.
• Liaise with other team members of this project to realize the overall goal of the project.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Minimum Bachelor degree in Information Systems / Computer Science / Information Technology / Security /Informatics Engineering / Software Engineering.
• Publication of at least a first-authored paper in a top AI or software engineering or cybersecurity conferences/journals (CORE A*).
• Excellent knowledge about software engineering and artificial intelligence.
• Highly fluent in Python and Java.
• Competent in designing and implementing algorithms and data structures.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, technical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated individual who can work independently and also collaboratively with team members.
• Able to work under strict deadlines.
• Research capability as evidenced by tangible deliverable i.e., at least a first-authored paper in CORE A*conference / journal in the field of AI or software engineering or cybersecurity.

Be part of an exciting FAB Operations Team working on cutting-edge process technologies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Looking for reliable individual - Operate multiple type of semiconductor equipment in cleanroom environment.
• Ability to use computer-based programs and applications to perform daily work/duties.
• Operate equipment based on the required process specifications (e.g. procedures, change notifications, etc.).
• Participate actively and be responsible in assigned on-the-job assignments and other required trainings when requested. Provide machine operations coverage and backup supports when necessary.
• Adequate understanding of the Equipment in-charge, monitor performance, timely communication with Engineers-in-charge to perform equipment errors recovery promptly when necessary.
• Demonstrate excellent teamwork to promptly execute process sequences and data collections if required.
• Always follow safety protocols & rules in the Clean Room.
• Ensure 6S in the work environment and promptly report hazards/ suspicious/ abnormal activities or personnel if any identified.
• Address potential areas for improvements such as wafers processing cycle time, Equipment utilization, Safety/ Compliances, and cost savings.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in MicroElectronics/Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Understanding on semiconductor process - at least 1-3 years of experience in semiconductor processes (Photolithography, Dry/Wet Etch/Cleans, ThinFilms, Diffusions, Chemical mechanical Polishings, Metrology etc.)
• Must be a self-starter, dependable and highly motivated.
