Job Description
- Industry/ Organization Type: Construction/ Ground Engineering
- Position Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Working Location: Central (Walk distance from MRT)
- Working Hours: 5 Days/ 5.5 Days, 44 hours per week
- Salary Package: Basic Salary + Allowances + AWS + Variable bonus
- Duration: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing project costs and commercial aspects for marine, coastal, and infrastructure developments from tender stage through project completion and final account settlement.
- Review tender documentation, engineering drawings, technical specifications, and contract conditions to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Develop cost plans, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), procurement packages, and commercial assessments.
- Obtain and compare quotations, assess subcontractor and supplier submissions, and provide recommendations for award.
- Carry out quantity take-offs, measurement, and valuation of completed works, including progress payments, variation orders, and final account preparation.
- Track project expenditures, budgets, and cash flow performance while identifying potential commercial risks and opportunities.
- Manage subcontract administration and ensure contractual obligations are properly fulfilled.
- Prepare and maintain contractual communications, documentation, and project records.
- Support the preparation and submission of variation claims, contractual claims, and interim payment applications.
- Coordinate with project personnel, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers on commercial and contractual matters.

- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of quantity surveying experience in marine, coastal, port, reclamation, offshore or major infrastructure projects..
- Prior exposure to marine tendering processes and subcontract procurement activities is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of quantity measurement, cost management, variation administration, progress payment claims, and final account settlement.
- Experience working with public sector agencies such as HDB, JTC, PSA, MPA, or equivalent organizations will be an added advantage.
- Possess strong commercial acumen with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation capabilities.
