Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the systems engineer will provide engineering design, technical configuration, drawing of various telecommunication systems.

He/ She will possess extensive knowledge and experience in Engineering design of telecommunication, safety & security and marine navigation systems covering technologies such as IP Infrastructure, WIFI WLAN, Firewall security, IP-PABX, PAGA, CCTV, VCS, TETRA/DMR UHF/VHF Radio, GMDSS Radio, GEO/MEO/LEO VSAT, IPTV, Radar, Gyrocompass and etc and provide engineering design, technical configuration, proof of concept as well as drawing instruction of various telecom systems.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of engineering design and make a truly access and understanding of client requirement and propose the right solution to fit the specs.
• Produce engineering document (VDRL) and close the client comments in a timely, high quality and accurate manner.
• Produce scratch drawing and guide the AUTOCAD drafter to come out the engineering drawing deliverables.
• Adapt the industrial standard and best practice into the engineering drawing preparation, design, review, and submission.
• Guide the in-house technician for equipment assembly and cabinet integration; implement the system configuration, simulation, testing and verification.
• Conduct factory acceptance testing (FAT) to client and provide in-house training to client as well as commissioning engineer.
• Any other ad hoc tasks required for business needs.

Requirements

• Minimum diploma in telecom or equivalent technical discipline
• Proven 4-5 years’ experience in a similar role within the industrial markets.
• Well organized documentation, time management skills
• Ability to articulate and share concepts with customers and suppliers.
• Ability to work with cross function teams and lead the team
• Objective driven, time-sensitive and resourceful
• Certificate of AUTOCAD will be added advantages.
• Site commissioning / radio surveying experience as per SOLAS / MODU will be added advantages.
• Ability to use various coverage tools such as CadnaA for PAGA, Ekahau for WIFI coverage, iBwave for UHF/GSM coverage will be added advantages.

Required Skills & Experience

•10-12+ years of experience in data migration on enterprise HCM or ERP transformation programmes, with demonstrated ownership of the migration workstream — not just execution within it.

•Proven track record of leading client conversations to define migration scope and approach, including facilitating workshops and driving decisions with senior stakeholders.

•At least 3 full-lifecycle Oracle HCM Cloud (Fusion) implementations with accountability for data migration delivery end to end.

•Sufficient Oracle HCM data knowledge to scope objects confidently across Core HR, Payroll, Talent, Compensation, Benefits, and Absence — and to challenge and advise the client with authority.

•Demonstrated ability to manage and direct a delivery team, maintaining quality and pace in a pressured programme environment.

•Strong facilitation and communication skills — comfortable running workshops, chairing governance meetings, and presenting to senior client stakeholders.

•Experience managing migration risks, issues, and dependencies within a complex, multi-workstream programme.

Desirable

•Experience leading migrations from legacy platforms such as SAP HCM, PeopleSoft, Workday, or bespoke HR systems.

•Working/ hand on knowledge of Oracle HCM data loading tools (HDL, FBDI, Spreadsheet Loader) sufficient to guide and review the team's technical outputs

•Oracle HCM Cloud certification in one or more modules.

•Prior experience in a consulting / Big 4 or System Integrator environment.

•Familiarity with data governance and data privacy frameworks in the context of HR data migration.

Essential Technical Skills

• Databricks Platform: Proven hands-on experience with Databricks platform including workspace administration, cluster management, and workflow orchestration
• Unity Catalog: Demonstrated experience implementing Unity Catalog for unified governance, including metastore configuration, catalog/schema design, and access control policies
• Data Modelling: Strong expertise in designing and implementing data models, including dimensional modeling, data vault, and lakehouse architectures
• Delta Lake: Deep understanding of Delta Lake features including ACID transactions, time travel, and optimization techniques
• Apache Spark: Proficiency in Spark SQL, DataFrames, and performance tuning
• Programming: Strong skills in Python, SQL, and/or Scala for data processing
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud services

Professional Experience

• Minimum 8-10 years in data architecture, engineering, or analytics roles
• At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Databricks platform
• Proven track record implementing Unity Catalog in enterprise environments
• Experience designing and implementing complex data models for large-scale systems
• Background working with Databricks Professional Services or similar partnerships preferred
• Experience across multiple industry sectors (Public Service, Financial Services, Healthcare, etc.) is advantageous

Certifications (Preferred)

End-to-End Data Architecture

• Collaborate with Databricks PS and customer 
• on comprehensive end-to-end data architecture on Databricks platform
• Design and implement data ingestion strategies from various source systems
• Architect scalable storage solutions leveraging Delta Lake and lakehouse architecture
• Develop efficient data processing frameworks using Apache Spark and Databricks workflows
• Create data consumption layers for analytics, reporting, and machine learning use cases
• Ensure seamless data flow across the entire data lifecycle

Governance, Security & Compliance

• Collaborate with Databricks PS on implementing robust governance frameworks
• Design and enforce security policies and access controls within Databricks environments
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Implement data lineage, audit trails, and monitoring capabilities
• Optimize performance through best practices in cluster configuration and query optimization
• Establish data quality standards and validation processes

Data Modelling & Design
