RESPONSIBILITIES

• As a key member of the Equinix Product Engineering function, you will be involved in the software development life cycle and focus on delivering solutions for Interconnection product systems.
• Work in a globally distributed development team environment with minimal supervision.
• Hands-on Architecture, Design, Development, Automation Testing & Support of Software Products and Solutions
• Interact with stakeholder(s) to understand and document the product feature(s).
• Provides the level of effort (LOE) for the product backlog. Works with technical project managers and product management teams to define detailed user stories and prepare a schedule.
• Integrate software product(s) with other systems, test interfaces, and manage version control
• Assist in the analysis & evaluation of new technologies to meet the demand for the product roadmap and technology platform goals.
• Help in the evaluation and recommendation of appropriate technologies for product features and the platform
• Advocate and follow best design and development practices, adhering to Engineering standards.
• Participate in the Design & Peer Code Review process.
• Provides status reports to management & team leads and helps with release management planning
• Breaking down the big features and user stories into granular components and development tasks considering different geo-locations
• Prioritizing and parallelizing the tasks in hand and dealing with ad-hoc requests

EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of professional software development experience
• Professional Experience: architecting, building, deploying,and maintaining customer-facing applications at scale in an innovativeengineering environment
• Strong programming foundation with knowledge in DataStructures, Algorithms, and Design Patterns.
• Minimum 3+ years of backend expertise in application design& development with Java technologies, with knowledge of Spring, JPA/Hibernate, Message Queues & Workflow Engines with layered-microservices architecture.
• Minimum of 2+ years of expertise in writing Test Automation scripts using Karate & Cypress
• Use a DevSecOps mindset to improve CICD using GitHub Actions and review DORA metrics to improve processes and consistently write fully secure code.
• Knowledge on NexusIQ, SonarQube, Sonar Linting, DAST scans, DDoS attacks, Defensive Coding & Penetration Testing concepts.
• Experience with database & caching technologies(Postgres, Oracle, Redis, and Timeseries Databases)
• Experience in architecting and building large-scale systems using a scale-out architecture that requires high availability, performance, high scalability, and multi-tenancy.

The Account Manager will drive revenue growth and expand market presence in Singapore and ASEAN by selling COMSOL Multiphysics engineering simulation solutions to enterprise, government, and academic clients.

Responsibilities

Sales& Business Development

• Drive new business acquisitions and increase revenue for COMSOL Multiphysics products across Singapore and ASEAN markets
• Develop and execute strategic account plans and roadmaps for targeted key accounts
• Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets by managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure
• Identify and develop sales opportunities across industries such as defense, energy, electronics, healthcare, semiconductor, manufacturing and government sectors

Account& Customer Management

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with users, engineering managers, R&D leads, professors, and procurement teams
• Analyze client business challenges, goals, and decision-making processes to tailor solutions effectively
• Position the company as a strategic advisor by fostering trust-based partnerships beyond vendor relationships
• Collaborate with internal technical application and operations teams to ensure successful solution implementation

Forecasting& Reporting

• Maintain accurate customer data, sales pipeline, and sales forecasts to support business planning
• Provide real-time market intelligence on competitors, customer trends, and growth opportunities
• Prepare and deliver regular sales performance reports to management

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in business, engineering or relevant field
• 3 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in technical sales
• Demonstrated business acumen to understand market and client needs
• Strong negotiation skills to close deals effectively
• Proven interpersonal and closing skills to build client relationships and secure sales
• Ability to identify customer pain points and technical challenges and formulate effective solutions

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Exposure to simulation software, R&D industry, and/or FEM and CAD/CAE applications is a good to have

• Own end-to-end enterprise sales cycle: prospect, qualify, develop, and close new business across APAC
• Build and maintain C-suite relationships (CIO, CTO, CDO, Chief AI Officer) and act as trusted advisor to senior decision-makers
• Create and execute territory plans focused on new logo acquisition, market penetration, and strategic account growth

Requirements

• 5+ years enterprise B2B software/SaaS/AI sales experience with strong hunting and closing track record
• Proven success selling complex solutions to C-level decision-makers during long, consultative sales cycles
• Experience across APAC markets (Singapore + at least 1–2 other regions) with familiarity in local business cultures and regulatory landscapes
• Industry expertise in Financial Services, Healthcare, or Pharma
• Ability to articulate technical value in business terms and align solutions to strategic goals
• Track record of exceeding revenue and pipeline targets in high-growth or early-stage environments
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with strong executive presence
• Entrepreneurial mindset — self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and embraces accountability
• Willingness to travel across APAC
