Role Overview
We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst to support our APAC equities and custody offerings through strong product knowledge and integration tools.
The successful candidate will be go-to expert for systems and Global securities integrations. You enjoy the details as well as the components of trading and mappings from middle-office to post-trade reporting. You work with our API library and FIX integrations, whether it’s assisting new clients with setup, designing new features with the development team or testing releases. It would be ideal if one has 2-5 years’ experience in an analyst or similar product role such as an IT business analyst within the financial industry with responsibility of trading systems.
Key Responsibilities
Client-needs analysis
· Possess a deep understanding of the global Securities business, its customers and their needs.
· Data capture management E2E, intake and ongoing(for new and existing clients).
· Formulating rules and parameters with respect to system enhancements, new integrations, modules and new features (as required by business and/or external clients).
· Investigate and support new issues and queries with direction and resolution where applicable.
Trading and systems management
· Ability to act as the subject matter expert in functions such as order management, trading systems, order routing, market data, instruments, execution, settlement, modelling, reporting, data management and integrations.
· Provide training to internal teams and hand-offswhen necessary.
Contribute to development and third-party partners /vendors
· Contribute to the development process and provide the client usability perspective during design reviews and conducting testing as required.
· Provide direction and input to the IT team regarding the solution throughout the development, QA and implementation process, together with reviewing all enhancements to ensure accuracy and stability within the system and full solutions offering.
Creating specifications
· Articulate rules, parameters and requirements pertaining to Velocity systems.
· Define and document business requirements, configure technical specifications for the development team to utilize effectively.
· Create training material (both internal and external) on new/existing features and distribute to all stakeholders.
Ad hoc tasks
· Effectively liaise with other VT offices within the group.
· To perform any other duties as required by the business.
Project Management
· Independently run small projects, resourcing tasks and communicating progress at a sprint level.
· Manage issues with appropriate levels of urgency for all stakeholders, escalating to management when necessary.
Requirements

Minimum Qualification Requirements
Qualification/ Education Level
Bachelor Degree - Degree in Computer Science, Business Analysis, Engineering or BCom. Similar technical diplomas and or related work experience would be considered.
Experience
2-5 years’ experience in an analyst or similar product role such as an IT business analyst within the financial industry with responsibility of trading systems.
