SENIOR ART DIRECTOR

At BLKJ Havas, we’re looking for a Senior Art Director who’s ready to turn briefs into brilliance, shape culture with design, and make work that people actually care about.
You’ll be the eye behind the ideas — the one who transforms strategy into stunning visuals and concepts into campaigns that live beyond ads. You’ll work hand-in-hand with copywriters, strategists, and creative teams to craft work that’s bold, smart, and culturally sharp. You’ll design, refine, and push the work until it sings — and you’ll help others do the same.
Job Responsibilities:
• Lead the Creative Charge: Contribute to, guide, and elevate the overall creative output of an award-winning team.
• Crack Big Ideas: Collaborate with Copywriters to develop breakthrough concepts grounded in insight and built to resonate.
• Integrate & Innovate: Blend art, copy, and digital disciplines to deliver best-in-class campaigns across all channels.
• Own the visual identity of the brands you work on, ensuring consistency in design, aesthetics, and brand expression across every touchpoint.
• Present your ideas with confidence and conviction — to internal teams and clients alike.
• Partner & Align: Work closely with the internal team to ensure ideas meet client goals and strategic objectives.
• Build Relationships: Collaborate with business and client directors to foster trust and creative confidence.
• Mentor & Inspire: Motivate and nurture junior creatives, helping them aim higher and achieve creative excellence.
• Stay Plugged In: Keep your finger on the pulse of design trends, tech innovations, and cultural conversations.
• Champion the craft of art direction, and contribute to a creative culture that’s collaborative, curious, and always pushing for better.
Requirements:
• 5–7 years of experience in art direction within a creative or advertising agency.
• A strong portfolio that demonstrates exceptional craft in design and concept development across integrated campaigns.
• Experience working across fully integrated campaigns (TV/video, digital, social, OOH, etc.).
• Exceptional craft in art direction and concept development, with the ability to translate ideas into visually compelling campaigns across platforms.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills — you work well with others and know how to take feedback and make the work better.
• Strong organizational skills and comfort juggling multiple projects and priorities.
• A natural team player who thrives in a collaborative creative environment.
• Highly detail-oriented and process-driven, without losing sight of big ideas.
• Deep understanding of local (Singapore) and regional markets — you know what resonates here and across Asia.
• Bonus points for regionally or internationally recognized work (Cannes Lions, D&AD, Most Contagious, Mashable features), or other accolades that show your ideas don’t just work, they win.
