What You’ll Do

As a Payroll Project Specialist, you'll be supporting the People Services Project team with various payroll transformation projects. You'll contribute your payroll knowledge and work with a wide range of key stakeholders including employees themselves, People Systems Team as well as the Finance, Internal compliance team and the broader People & Culture function.

This is a 12 months fixed term contract sits within the Theatrical Marketing team in the Partnerships Department and plays a pivotal role in showcasing our studio’s titles to our trade partners/ cinemas. Reporting to the Head of Partnerships, the Senior Trade Marketing, Events & Communications Executive also supports the Managing Director in developing and delivering high-impact trade presentations. The role leads trade marketing efforts for titles under the $8M box office threshold and blends creative storytelling with strong stakeholder collaboration. Proficiency in design tools such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Premiere Pro is essential to produce compelling visual and video presentations that support broader marketing objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Exhibition Marketing

• Working with the Head of Partnerships ANZ,  create strategies to support specialty titles eg : Horror (Blumhouse) and Art House (Focus Features), including general marketing, screening events, activations and general local area partnerships.
• Prepare and present half-yearly strategies with Palace, Dendy, Moving Story, Cremorne Hayden Orpheum, NOVA.
• Develop and distribute approved marketing materials, bespoke assets, content, digital and social assets.
• Work closely with Media Lead on co-op advertising, sponsorships and social media support campaigns.
• Work closely with Publicists to maximise talent access for on screen ID’s, meet and greets, content creation and film festivals.
• Contribute to studio campaign reports and presentations.

Trade Marketing Presentations & AV Management

• Collaborate with the Managing Director to shape the narrative of trade marketing presentations and co-author scripts.
• Develop supporting on-screen slides, securing assets from studio head offices or briefing creative agencies where necessary.
• Manage AV assets with head office, creating run sheets and ensuring all materials are secured and approved.
• Work with event stakeholders to brief presentation requirements across AV, staging, lighting, effects, rehearsals, and autocue.
• Engage external vendors for high-production elements such as pre-recorded introductions, performers, or special effects.
• Manage all logistics for executives participating in events, Talent & Presenter Coordination
• Oversee travel, accommodation, and rehearsal schedules.

What You’ll Do

We have a full-time permanent opportunity for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our People & Culture team.  In this role, you will be responsible for providing efficient and effective payroll services to staff and supported employees including the calculation of accurate wages and salaries by creating and maintaining personnel and payroll records, in accordance with the relevant Awards, Agreements and legislative requirements. • Work with PayGlobal and Dayforce on EA changes- including matrix interpretation and EA implementation and testing
• Ensure payroll processes are appropriately documented ensuring accuracy, compliance and interpretation with awards, legislation, policies and organisational requirements
• Manage recommendations on enhancements to work processes in order to ensure optimal system functionality increasing accuracy and efficiencies

• Lead the development and implementation of a suite of financial models, dashboards and reports to uplift Risk capabilities
• Establish and maintain standardised data hierarchies to facilitate consistent analysis linking risk results to internal/external drivers

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration 

• As the systems support several stakeholders and company initiatives, embedding effective stakeholder management and collaboration practices within the Data and Strategic Initiatives team is a key part of this role
• Test the accuracy of the newly designed and implemented solutions.
• Monitor the accuracy of the required output.
• Work closely with the business for continuous improvement opportunities.
• Utilise data analytics to provide actionable insights and recommendations to enhance risk management practices.
• Produce quality, concise and accurate risk and compliance reports using risk data and insights to management, committees, and the Board.

• Deep experience in regulatory reporting and compliance related to treasury risk. Remediation and transformation uplift requiring:
  • Treasury System knowledge (e.g. Murex, Calypso etc)

What a Senior Counsel in Legal does at Visa:

The position is for a seasoned business/commercial lawyer to join Visa's legal team that supports Visa's businesses responsible for our Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific markets including in the areas of sales contracts, corporate and commercial matters, technology, products, marketing and IP, and regulatory engagement. The position will report to the Senior Managing Counsel who is the head of Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific for Visa Legal in the Asia Pacific region. The applicant should ideally have experience in commercial business law and management and be able to draft robustly and to a high standard. The applicant must have solid technical legal skills with good commercial/legal risk judgment, and be able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast paced and challenging, but rewarding, environment. 

We are looking for a strong commercial and regulatory lawyer with excellent communication and analytical skills, who is self-motivated, able to work proactively and independently, and who has the skillset and leadership mindset to effectively interact with business units and other support functions at all levels across Visa to influence business directions and bring about positive outcomes. Prior payments experience is not required, although the applicant must be willing to learn Visa's business model and the payments industry.

In this role, you are expected to:

• Work closely with business teams to review and advise using exceptional risk-based judgement on commercial and contractual enhancements and/or new business initiatives, as well as day to day commercial related matters
• Be an effective representative/ stakeholder for the AP Legal team in the global legal office and Country management, and liaise with/cooperate with other members of the global and regional Visa legal team
• Draft, negotiate and drive to completion complex commercial, technology, and strategic partnership agreements that achieve business objectives, advice on deal structures
• Support Visa business teams as they expand their new and existing product and service offerings, and use cases, to banks and other clients in money movement, related financial services products, consumer focused enhancements, new financial/technology products and data products, as well as strategic acquisitions of businesses that can add value to the Visa value chain
