The Director, Talent Acquisition — APAC is the regional recruiting lead across Asia-Pacific. Responsibilities 

Regional Recruiting Leadership & Talent Ownership

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Associate Director, PMO – APAC is a senior regional leadership role responsible for driving project delivery excellence, governance, and portfolio visibility across the APAC region for Silent-Aire business unit. Mandatory Requirements

Acceptable backgrounds include investment advisory, wealth management, investment consultancy, wealth solutions, discretionary portfolio management, private banking, or fund management — terminology varies by institution, so candidates should be assessed on substance (did the business advise clients on, or manage, investments) rather than exact job title.

2. That experience must cover one or more of the underlying asset classes listed above (CIS/ETFs, securities, exchange-traded derivatives, OTC derivatives, spot FX, structured deposits). Broader coverage across these asset classes is preferred.

3. The candidate's previous employer for the relevant experience would preferably be a licensed or regulated financial institution under MAS or an equivalent regulator in another jurisdiction. The candidate does not need to have held a CEO, Director, or Responsible Officer (RO) title personally, but the employing entity itself is supposed to hold the relevant license or regulatory status. Experience at an unregulated business does not satisfy this requirement.

4. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a managerial capacity; 10+ years strongly preferred.

• University degree in one of the following or related disciplines (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, Information Systems).

About the Role

The incumbent is responsible for shaping AIA Singapore’s engineering strategy, building scalable and secure application platforms, and driving best-in-class engineering practices across multiple development teams.

• 12+ years of total experience in which 10+ years of hands-on software development experience with strong proficiency in Java, Python, Microservices architecture, SQL & relational database design, Kubernetes & containerization, Cloud-native development and 8+ years of engineering leadership experience managing multiple technical teams or large-scale engineering organizations.
