Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly technical Project Manager to lead the design, execution, and delivery of advanced water treatment solutions. In this role, you will be at the forefront of driving the design for Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP), and Water Reclaim Plants. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in managing projects for high-tech and specialized industries, particularly Data Centres, Semiconductors (Ultra-Pure Water), and Specialty Chemicals. You will lead a dedicated engineering team based primarily in Singapore, while operating and expanding project footprints across Greater China and Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design, engineering, and project management of WTP, WWTP, and reclaim plant systems from conceptualization through execution to ensure timely delivery
• Develop, review, and optimize Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) to support process engineering objectives
• Manage complex water infrastructure projects tailored to meet the strict technical and regulatory requirements of Data Centres, Semiconductor fabrication, and Specialty Chemical facilities
• Lead, mentor, and coordinate a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, designers, and project staff to deliver projects within scope, budget, and timeline
• Coordinate and travel regionally to manage project delivery across Greater China and Malaysia while maintaining operations in Singapore
• Serve as the primary liaison for clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on project milestones
• Ensure all designs and installations comply with local regulations, environmental standards, and client specifications across all operating regions

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline
• Proven experience as a Project Manager in the water/wastewater treatment industry
• Strong process engineering skills with hands-on expertise in drafting and reviewing P&IDs
• Proficiency with drafting software such as AutoCAD or Plant 3D
• Deep knowledge of design and execution of WTP, WWTP, Reclaim Plants, and Ultra-Pure Water (UPW) systems, including EDI and UF membrane technologies
• Demonstrated leadership skills to effectively lead and motivate a technical engineering team while maintaining hands-on involvement

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Graduates from Project 985 universities in China or recognized institutions in Taiwan
• Prior project experience in Data Centres, Semiconductors, or Specialty Chemical sectors
• Business-level proficiency in Mandarin to facilitate communication and technical document review with clients and teams in Greater China

• To support the Facilities Management team by acting as the frontline representative to ensure the effective execution of services across designated schools. Will play a key role in planning, supervising, and coordinating all maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with contract requirements.
  
• Act as the primary point of contact for Schools and Users regarding facilities management services. Ensure that all contracted services are delivered effectively and in a timely manner, addressing any issues or concerns that arise.
  
• Assist schools in planning and scheduling all visits and maintenance services. Work closely with the Project Manager and other team members to coordinate the implementation of Infrastructure Improvement Works.
  
• Serve as the Site Supervisor, overseeing maintenance activities and ensuring that work is carried out to the required standards. Assist Professional Quantity Surveyors with site measurements and documentation, ensuring accurate data collection.
  
• Ensure that all field data and site records are accurately captured and uploaded to the centralized facilities management system. Maintain and update records as required, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for reporting purposes.
  
• Participate in the induction training for new staff and ongoing training programs for existing staff. Ensure that training programs are conducted at least every six months, focusing on continuous improvement and compliance with the contract standards.
  
• Monitor the quality of services provided, ensuring they meet the standards outlined in the contract. Work closely with the Project Manager to implement corrective actions where necessary to maintain service quality.
  
• Maintain open lines of communication with school administrators, addressing any issues or concerns promptly. Provide regular updates to the Project Manager and other stakeholders on the status of facilities management activities.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

• Oversee daily operations of all retail outlets to ensure consistent performance and operational excellence
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and customer experience
• Monitor store performance metrics, including sales, customer satisfaction, and operational costs
• Ensure stores comply with company standards, including cleanliness, visual merchandising, and safety regulations

Staff Management, Training

• Recruit, train, and mentor store managers and retail staff
• Develop and facilitate engaging training sessions on product knowledge, sales techniques, customer service
• Facilitate in-store training sessions on weekdays during retail hours, provide one-on-one coaching and mentoring
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives through feedback and KPIs, making adjustments as necessary
• Manage stock levels, inventory control, and replenishment to ensure product availability
• Collaborate with the purchasing team and marketing team to align stock levels with sales trends
• Oversee inventory audits and address discrepancies

Sales and Customer Service

• Drive sales targets and develop strategies to achieve business objectives
• Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities
• Collaborate with the marketing team to execute promotions and campaigns

Compliance and Reporting

• Provide regular reports on store performance, challenges, and opportunities
• Implement corrective actions based on audit findings or management feedback

Qualifications and Requirements

• Relevant qualifications in Business Administration, Retail Management, or other related field
• Proven experience in retail operations, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a managerial role
• Preferably with 2–3 years of professional experience in facilitating retail training and development programs
• Willing to work in a retail environment and follow retail operating hours
