As a Business Development Manager you will play a pivotal role in driving our sales efforts, forging strategic partnerships, and expanding our client base along with maintaining and developing the relationships with our clients and consolidating our presence on the local market.

This is a remote vacancy open to candidates residing in Japan.

• Develop and implement sales activities (incl. cold calls and regular sales visits) and hit the sales targets to achieve growth and expand presence in assigned territory;
• Sign up new partners (tour operators, travel agencies, travel management companies, OTAs) and provide them with extended training of our system;
• Build and maintain a strong, long-lasting relationship with new and existing partners;
• Account management of an assigned portfolio of partners, including the first level of support;
• Follow-up with existing partners to provide system training and identify the ways to improve the cooperation;
• Prepare, execute and manage the commercial deals with the partners, including the execution of required document flow and technical setup;
• Control of compliance with commercial conditions by partners, including the payment flow;
• Spend approximately 40% of your working time on business trips, including meetings with clients, industry events, and other business-related events;
• Provide market & competitive environment analysis;
• Provide regular comprehensive reporting through CRM and internal systems; 
• Initiate API deals with potential and existing partners.

Key Qualifications

• Relevant Experience. Minimum of 3 years of successful experience in the full sales life cycle within the travel industry, with a focus on business development and account management of B2B companies;
• Market Knowledge. In-depth understanding of the region's travel market, including B2B travel networks (tour operators, travel agencies, travel management companies, OTAs);
• Language knowledge. Fluent in Japanese and English;
• Travel Requirements. Up to 40% of travel time may be required;
• Analytical Skills. Used to data-driven decision-making, metrics-driven and good with numbers;
• Personal Skills. Proactive, ambitious, motivated, action-oriented, results-focused, appetite for innovative technology, comfortable with the fast-changing business environment, teamplayer;
• International Mindset. Ability to understand and work across a wide range of cultural contexts reflecting ETG’s global presence;
• Competence in API technology deals is a plus.

Category Strategy & Execution / カテゴリー戦略および実行

• Define and lead the execution of global indirect procurement category strategies across multiple categories, including Marketing Services, IT, Professional Services, Facilities Management, HR Services, and R&D.
• Drive the transition from country‑led sourcing to category‑led management, establishing clear global strategies, sourcing levers, and governance models.
• Own the end‑to‑end procurement lifecycle at global category level—from strategy definition and sourcing to contract management—ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and regional business needs.
• Leverage global and regional frameworks while enabling disciplined local execution to maximize value, scalability, and consistency.

Global Brand Marketing, Glaucomaは、緑内障の内科および外科ポートフォリオにおけるグローバルブランド戦略および各種イニシアチブの策定・実行・展開を支援する役割です。
本ポジションは、**グローバルメディカルアフェアーズ、マーケットアクセス（3M）、CFU（Commercial Functional Units）**と連携し、全社的なグローバルブランド戦略および目標との整合性を確保しながら、グローバルブランドプランニングに貢献します。

また、グローバル戦略をリージョン向けに実行可能なブランドプログラム、ツール、ガイダンスへと落とし込み、グローバル施策の展開を支援します。
グローバルローンチの準備、ライフサイクルマネジメント、上市後の活動を支援し、部門横断的なインプットの調整や、グローバルブランド／ローンチ／プロモーション資材の開発にも関与します。

The Manager, Global Brand Marketing – Glaucoma supports the development, execution, and implementation of global brand plans and initiatives for the glaucoma medical and surgical portfolio. The role contributes to global brand planning in collaboration with Global Medical Affairs, and Market Access (3M), as well as CFUs, and ensuring alignment with overall global brand strategies and objectives.

In addition, this position supports the implementation of global initiatives by translating global strategy into executable brand programs, tools, and guidance for regional teams. The Manager supports global launch readiness, lifecycle management, and post‑launch activities, including coordination of cross‑functional inputs and development of global brand, launch, and promotional materials.

The role works closely with regional and cross‑functional stakeholders to support consistent execution of global brand positioning, key messages, promotion and disease education initiatives across markets. In addition, the Manager supports monitoring of the global competitive environment in glaucoma and contributes commercial insights to inform brand optimization and portfolio planning.

• Global Brand Plan Development, Execution & Initiative Implementation
  • Develop and support the execution of global brand plan, including positioning frameworks, key messages for assigned brands in the glaucoma portfolio (Rhopressa, Roclanda, Preserflo and other global glaucoma brands where necessary)
  • Implementation of initiatives for the glaucoma portfolio  
• Global Launch Readiness & Operational Support
  • Support global launch readiness activities for global glaucoma products as a core member of the Global Launch Readiness Team (GLRT).
  • Coordinate cross functional inputs across Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Market Access (3M) to support timely delivery of launch milestones and materials.
  • Support post launch activities, including tracking of implementation progress and identification of optimization opportunities.
• Global Brand Assets & Program Execution
  • Support the development, review, and rollout of global brand and promotional assets, including sales aids, training materials, disease education tools, and congress materials.
  • Manage assigned projects with internal stakeholders and external agencies to ensure delivery within agreed timelines and scope.
  • Ensure global materials are fit for purpose and can be effectively adapted by regional and local teams.
• Cross Functional & Regional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Global Medical Affairs to ensure alignment between medical strategy, scientific content, and brand initiatives.
  • Partner with regional and local marketing teams to support effective implementation of global initiatives while maintaining alignment with global brand guidance.

  • Contribute commercial insights to portfolio discussions and brand reviews.

MR一人あたりの担当施設数は、地域等によりますが30施設前後。

眼科専門のスペシャリストMRとして、豊富な自社製品ラインナップと眼科領域における専門性をベースに、課題解決型の「治療提案」を行っていただきます。
