About AIRoA

The AI Robot Association (AIRoA) is launching a groundbreaking initiative: collecting one million hours of humanoid robot operation data with hundreds of robots, and leveraging it to train the world’s most powerful Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models.

What makes AIRoA unique is not only the unprecedented scale of real-world data and humanoid platforms, but also our commitment to making everything open and accessible. We are building a shared “robot data ecosystem” where datasets, trained models, and benchmarks are available to everyone. Researchers around the world will be able to evaluate their models on standardized humanoid robots through our open evaluation platform.

Job Description

• Develop Vision-Language models, or equivalent multimodal models, with a view toward applications in the robotics domain
• Fine-tune existing models, conduct evaluations, perform error analysis, and improve performance
• Build training pipelines using real-world data, design evaluation metrics, and operate iterative improvement cycles
• Prepare and preprocess data, and build training environments for image, video, language, and action data
• Research the latest trends in technologies and academic studies, select appropriate technologies, and incorporate findings into model improvements
• Establish training infrastructure, inference infrastructure, and experimental environments for real-world model deployment
• Collaborate with related teams such as software engineers and robotics engineers to define requirements, design validation plans, and drive development

Required Qualifications

• Experience leading machine learning models from deployment to improvement and operation in a production service environment
• Experience implementing, training, and evaluating machine learning models using Python and PyTorch
• Hands-on experience fine-tuning Vision-Language models, or equivalent multimodal models
• Experience building training pipelines with real-world data, designing evaluations, conducting error analysis, and operating improvement loops
• Ability to understand the latest research and technology trends and translate them into model improvements and practical product applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models or multimodal models for robotics
• Experience with robot control, ROS / ROS 2, C++, and real-world hardware evaluation
• Knowledge of or experience in sensor integration, actuator control, action generation, and low-level control
• Familiarity with training and evaluation using simulators, Sim2Real, and domain adaptation
• Experience building training and inference infrastructure in cloud environments such as AWS or GCP
• Experience with reproducible and operationally robust development practices such as Docker, CI/CD, and MLOps

リーダーデバイスとよばれる専用コントローラー(以下、リーダーデバイス）を駆使してロボットを遠隔操作し、物の運搬、受け渡しといった日常タスクから部品の組み立てなどの産業界でのタスクの試行を通じて、ロボットが「どう動くべきか」を学習するための高品質な教師データを提供し、物理UI/UXの改善に直接貢献するプロフェッショナルな業務です。

【主な業務内容】

• 下記の業務遂行をするチームのリーダー候補です。まずは、AIロボットテレオペレーターとして研修から始め、習熟状況でご自身もプレイングマネージャーとして手を動かしつつ、活躍していただきます！
• 高精度ロボット・テレオペレーション

• 専用コントローラー（物理デバイス、VR、ハプティクスデバイス等）を用い、ロボットのアームや移動を精密に制御。
• 家庭や店舗・工場などを模した環境で、把持、移動、配置などのタスクを遂行し、AIに「正解の動き」を教え込みます。

• AI学習データの収集・アノテーション・生成・評価

• AIが物理世界を正しく認識・行動するための高品質な操作データの構築。
• 操作中の違和感やエラーを記録し、エンジニアチームへ詳細なフィードバックを実施。

• 物理UI/UXの改善提案

• 実際の操作感に基づき、ロボットの可動域、エンドエフェクタ（手先）の形状、操作インターフェースの改善案を提示し、プロダクトの進化をリード。

必須要件（MUST）

• 操作スキル: ゲームコントローラーや精密機器の操作に抵抗がなく、細やかな作業が得意な方。
• 知識・経験：カイゼン活動のご経験が豊富な方（オペレーション立ち上げ期のため）
• 技術スキル：電子機器のメンテナンス、スマホ修理、PC自作、家電修理、工場のライン保全など

To accelerate the collection and generation of this data, we are seeking a leader to serve as the cornerstone of our on-site operations. You will drive innovation in physical UI/UX in collaboration with leading domestic and international companies and academia. Job Summary

"Your robot operations will change the world. Why not breathe life into AI with your own hands?"

To accelerate the social implementation of autonomous robots equipped with cutting-edge Physical AI, you will play a vital role in collecting and generating "learning data" (human demonstrations and operation logs).

Using a specialized controller known as the "Leader Device," you will remotely operate robots to perform tasks ranging from daily activities like transport and handover to industrial trials such as parts assembly. This is a professional role where you will provide high-quality training data to help robots learn exactly "how they should move," while directly contributing to the evolution of physical UI/UX.

Key Responsibilities

As a Team Leader candidate, you will oversee the following operations. Your journey will begin with intensive training as an AI Robot Teleoperator. As you gain proficiency, you will transition into a "Playing Manager" role, balancing hands-on operations with team leadership.

• High-Precision Robot Teleoperation
• Precisely control robot arms and mobility using specialized controllers (physical devices, VR, haptic devices, etc.).
• Execute tasks such as grasping, moving, and placing in environments modeled after homes, stores, and factories to teach the AI the "correct movements."
• Collection, Annotation, Generation, and Evaluation of AI Learning Data
• Construct high-quality operational datasets that enable AI to perceive and act correctly in the physical world.
• Record any operational anomalies or errors and provide detailed, actionable feedback to the engineering team.
• Physical UI/UX Improvement Proposals
• Based on real-world operation "feel," propose improvements for the robot's range of motion, end-effector (hand) design, and control interfaces to lead the product’s evolution.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications (MUST)

• Operational Skills: Proficiency in using game controllers or precision equipment; ability to perform delicate, detailed tasks.
• Knowledge & Experience: Extensive experience in Kaizen (continuous improvement) activities (essential for our operational launch phase).
• Technical Background: Experience in electronics maintenance, smartphone repair, PC building, home appliance repair, or factory line maintenance.
• Mindset: * An inquisitive mind that constantly seeks "more efficient movements," even within repetitive tasks.
• A passion for contributing to society through cutting-edge technology.
• Language Proficiency:
• Japanese: Native level (required for seamless team coordination, on-site demonstrations, and providing explanations to visitors).
• English: Basic level (unspecified) + High motivation to learn.
• Note: Basic reading and writing skills are sufficient at the start. However, we highly value a proactive attitude toward learning English for communication with global engineers via chat and for referencing technical documentation.

• Extensive experience playing action or simulation games.
• A strong interest in Robotics, AI, and User Interface/Experience (UI/UX).
