Job Summary

The Network Infrastructure & Security Engineer will be responsible for the design, deployment, operation, and optimization of our network infrastructure, including routers, switches and firewalls. The Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disorders (CVMD) Programme houses state-of-the-art technologies for profiling mitochondrial function and metabolic adaptations in human patients and other model organisms and undertakes translational and clinical research in cardiovascular and metabolic disorders.

Dr. Matthew Hirschey's laboratory has a long-standing focus on uncovering the fundamental mechanisms of metabolism and hormone signaling in normal physiology and disease, with a current emphasis on hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Using cutting-edge genomic and metabolomic methods, the group seeks to identify new regulators and pathways governing metabolic rewiring and endocrine control in liver cancer, and to discover therapeutic targets relevant to HCC and related cardiometabolic disorders.

The selected candidate will perform a variety of functions related to research under the supervision of the Principal Investigator or his/her designate, including but not limited to the following:

• Perform experimental work and support all aspects of the research project, including in vivo studies using mouse models of HCC, hepatocyte and liver cancer cell culture, and molecular, biochemical, and histological analyses of liver tissues.

Job Description

A short-term postdoctoral research fellow position on the topic of quantum error correction is available in the group of Associate Professor Hui Khoon Ng at the Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT) in Singapore. 

The project focus is on numerical simulations of relevance to quantum error correction, including understanding the performance of error correction protocols on noisy hardware devices. Stabilizer simulations will be the key tool, and we will expand on the recent work within the group on simulating general noise within the stabilizer formalism. 

The group of HK Ng works on bridging the gap between quantum error correction and hardware realities. It is housed in the CQT campus within the National University of Singapore.The research fellow can expect to help with the mentoring of students in the group.

Job Description

•    The Research Fellow will work closely with the Principal Investigator, Dr. LIN Yiliang, on the research project of hydrogel design for regenerative medicine
•    The Research Fellow will help to develop hydrogels system, perform material characterization, and investigate the application in regenerative medicine

Job Requirements

•    A PhD degree in a relevant area, e.g., Chemical Engineering, Material Science and Engineering, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering;
•    Good publication record. 
•    Experienced bio-interface design, construction of hydrogel materials, materials characterization, and cell culture.
•    Any experience with 1) animal experiments, 2) advanced characterization techniques, and 3) soft matter mechanics and physics, is a plus

We are looking for a Research Engineer for the OUTSMART Corp Lab led by Professor Massimo Alioto, at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS).

The selected candidate is expected to:

•    circuit exploration of near-PCM and in-memory SRAM computing macros, and related models  
•    experimental validation of computing and memory macros and their support of similarity/confidence-based computation skipping, and dataflow adaptation 
•    experimental validation of test structures with dataflow adaptation in single chip, high memory-logic interspersion
•    experimental validation of chiplet interfaces and synchronization, test structures with final memory-logic aggregation, and dataflow adaptation across chiplets 
•    experimental validation of final testchip in single- and many-chiplet arrangement
•    experimental validation of final testchip in single-chiplet arrangement 

The appointment can commence immediately with a 1-year contract, with prospect of extension. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

The candidate must possess:
•    Minimally a Bachelor’s degree in either Electrical Engineering or strictly related (e.g., Computer, Electronics, Communication, or Information Engineering).
•    Knowledge on circuit architectures, transistor-level design.
•    Knowledge on silicon chip design, EDA tools.
