About the role

Reporting to Production Supervisor, you’ll be responsible to manufacture quality products that meet and exceed the expectations of our customers. Production Technicians are responsible for executing the processing operations that support the needs of the business. Production Technicians also perform duties associated with operating, monitoring, connecting, cleaning and troubleshooting the drying equipment.

Your responsibilities

• Accountable for personal safety and also safety of others.
• Production Technicians will be assigned either to the dry side, liquid side or control room for the processing operations and may rotate through each area whenever required.
• Monitor and execute proper functions of the process equipment including wet process, dryers, fluid beds, bag houses and bulk transport systems.
• Operate the processing computer control system, including trouble shooting issues and monitoring while in operations.
• Adhere strictly to all GMP requirements to ensure proper manufacturing environment.
• Actively participate in the resolution of downtime issues.
• Assist in the creation of SOP’s, checklist, and work instructions whenever required.
• Provide training and guidance to new employees whenever required.
• Perform all secondary duties associated with the processing operations (including maintaining of log-sheets and batch records)
• Perform all required cleaning as instructed (including making proper sanitary connections for all forms of cleaning).
• Perform chemical tests and maintain day tank levels whenever required.
• Perform all assigned preventative maintenance of drying equipment whenever required.
• Execute proper disassembly and assembly of various machineries in the production areas.
• Complete all necessary transactions, reports and documentation with accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary working environment at all times.
• Demonstrate capability to use independent judgment and work well within a team environment.

The experience we're looking for

• At least a diploma or degree in the related field of study (sciences, technical, health-related, food manufacturing etc).
• At least 1 year of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Previous experience in food, pharmaceutical or nutrition-related business and training preferred.
• Willing to work 12-hr rotating day and night shift
• Willing to work in Tuas
• Close attention to detail and experience with detailed documentation of tasks performed.
• Proven ability to follow up and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Physical demands- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

o Frequently required to stand and walk

As part of the Process Engineering group, this position involves contributing to the development of thin film solutions for thermal management product.

The role also involves establishing and optimizing related process parameters related to dicing, mask design, plating/sputtering thin films.

Also work closely with internal cross-functional teams, external vendors and technology partners on application development from concept prototype phase to production introduction.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop processes to deposit conductive (metal) films by Plating, PVD Sputtering and Vacuum Evaporation.
• Develop film characterization techniques for metrology and inspection.
• Provide day-to-day operations of deposition tools - tool and process monitoring, post PM process qualification, troubleshooting.
• Prepare project updates and goals.
• Work closely with integration and test teams on developing critical to quality (CTQ)metrics, root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions for yield improvements.
• Work closely with equipment engineers and external suppliers on tool improvements and selection of new equipment.

Requirements

• ITE/Polytechnic/Degree in Materials Engineering or related field
• Min. 2 years of experience leading manufacturing process development in at least one of the following fields: semiconductor front or back end such as wafer bumping, dicing, mask design, plating and thin film process development.
• Experience of using UHV vacuum manufacturing equipment and associated sensors and components (Pumps, valves, pressure sensors, spectrometers, MFC's, pressure controllers, pyrometers, etc.)
• Experience working on material development and process engineering.
• Experience in statistical analysis methods and tools, design of experiment.
• Understanding of materials characterization and FA techniques
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willing to work in Tuas South area.
