About the Role

The incumbent is responsible for shaping AIA Singapore’s engineering strategy, building scalable and secure application platforms, and driving best-in-class engineering practices across multiple development teams.

This role manages multiple engineering teams delivering enterprise applications built using modern platform using Java, Python, SQL/Postgres/MS SQL, Kubernetes, deployed as microservices on Azure Cloud. WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE

• Degree from a recognized University in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.

• 12+ years of total experience in which 10+ years of hands-on software development experience with strong proficiency in Java, Python, Microservices architecture, SQL & relational database design, Kubernetes & containerization, Cloud-native development and 8+ years of engineering leadership experience managing multiple technical teams or large-scale engineering organizations.

As a Data & AI Platform Product Manager – Associate within the APAC Chief Data & Analytics Office, you will support the APAC technical product agenda for the firm’s Data & AI platform capabilities. You will help translate APAC business, regulatory, and user needs into clear requirements, well-structured backlog inputs, and measurable adoption outcomes. Job responsibilities

• Build and maintain understanding of APAC workflows, user pain points, data flows, technical constraints, regulatory expectations, and adoption barriers across markets and Lines of Business

• Help triage incoming demand to determine the right path (self-serve, product expertise, solution design, new feature development, or APAC-specific capability) and draft clear problem statements and success criteria

• Gather and document APAC-specific platform requirements across functional, data, integration, access/entitlements, controls, and user experience needs, including user journeys and acceptance criteria

• Translate data governance, AI governance, risk and control expectations into platform capability requirements (e.g., approvals, guardrails, lineage, auditability, evidence capture), with guidance from senior partners

• Contribute to defining non-functional requirements where needed (scalability, resilience, performance, security, access control, operational readiness)

• Maintain the APAC technical product backlog (e.g., writing/refining epics and stories); ensure requirements are clear and ready for engineering feasibility assessment, sequencing, and dependency mapping

• Support prioritization discussions by preparing inputs on business value, regulatory relevance, risk/control requirements, user impact, and technical feasibility for APAC CAO/CPO and intake forums

• Provide structured APAC inputs into global/regional platform roadmaps, helping balance regional needs with global strategy to avoid unnecessary fragmentation

• Track adoption/usage and delivery outcomes; help convert learnings into backlog improvements and product documentation updates

• Communicate status, priorities, and trade-offs to stakeholders; support the creation of product briefs and decision materials for governance and leadership forums

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, or related field

• 5+ years of experience in product management, technical program delivery, platform/product operations, data/AI platforms, enterprise technology products, or related roles

• Working understanding of data and AI platform capabilities (data management, analytics enablement, AI/ML enablement, governance, lineage, data quality, access controls/entitlements, adoption)

• Ability to translate business problems, regulatory requirements, and technical constraints into well-structured requirements, user journeys, and acceptance criteria (with support where needed)

• Technical fluency across data flows, APIs, platform concepts, integration patterns, and technical documentation; comfort discussing non-functional requirements with engineering partners
