Shipping Supervisor (Mandarin Speaker)

Job Responsibility

• Supervise and coordinate end-to-end export and import logistics operations, ensuring timely and efficient shipment execution.
• Lead and support the shipping team in shipment planning, documentation preparation, customs clearance, and delivery coordination.
• Monitor daily shipping activities and ensure compliance with customs regulations, international trade requirements, and company policies.
• Liaise closely with Sales Planning, Production, Warehouse, and Purchasing departments to align shipment schedules and customer delivery requirements.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping lines, and transport providers to ensure smooth logistics operations and resolve shipment-related issues promptly.
• Review, verify, and approve shipping documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and customs declarations.
• Monitor shipping costs, freight performance, and logistics KPIs, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of shipping records, documentation, and logistics databases.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in shipping, export/import logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team-leading role.
• Strong knowledge of international shipping procedures, customs regulations, Incoterms, and trade compliance requirements.
• Experience managing freight forwarders, customs agents, shipping documentation, and transportation providers.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ERP/logistics management systems (e.g., SAP).
• Ability to analyze logistics performance, manage costs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Able to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken, is required. Ability to communicate in Chinese will be an added advantage due to business communication requirements with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
