QUANTITY SURVEYOR

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team, a leading industrial development and construction company based in Kuala Lumpur. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of our construction projects, ensuring they are delivered within budget and to the highest standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparing and analysing detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents for construction projects
• Negotiating and managing contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure the best possible terms
• Monitoring project budgets and forecasts, and providing regular updates to the management team
• Identifying potential cost savings and implementing cost control measures
• Providing expert advice and guidance to the project team on contractual and commercial matters
• Ensuring full compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards

REQUIREMENTS

• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the construction industry
• Strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and regulations
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
• Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools, such as estimating, cost management, and project management software
• A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with a keen eye for detail
