Key Responsibilities

• Source & Procure: Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable waste paper suppliers, recycling centers, and industrial vendors.
• Negotiate Contracts: Negotiate pricing, payment terms, quality specifications, and delivery schedules to minimize production costs.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect incoming waste paper loads to ensure they meet industry grade standards and moisture limits, rejecting contaminated materials.
• Market Analysis: Monitor global and local commodity market trends to forecast price fluctuations and adjust buying strategies accordingly.
• Inventory Control: Coordinate with logistics teams to schedule deliveries, preventing raw material stockouts or warehouse overcrowding.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all procurement and import processes comply with environmental laws, customs regulations, and local authorities (e.g., Department of Environment / SIRIM).

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: 2 to 5 years of procurement experience, ideally within the paper manufacturing or waste management industry.
• Skills: Strong commercial negotiation skills, data analysis, and the ability to physically grade paper quality.
• Languages: Professional proficiency in English and Mandarin languages to manage domestic and international trade partners.
