Quantity Surveyor

Topkrete Sdn Bhd is an established company specialized in manufacturing of specialty flooring system. Our flooring systems are widely used in the industrial, manufacturing as well as commercial building sectors.

QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Responsibilities

Tendering & Estimation

• To prepare project costing
• To prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ) and compilation of tender documents
• Conduct tender take-offs and prepare quotations for waterproofing, epoxy/PU coating and concrete repair projects.

Supplier/Subcontractor Management

• To forecast procurement of products specified
• To call, compile and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• To verify subcontractors’ claims.

Contract Administration

• Preparing monthly progress claims, VO and final claims and to ensure all claims are to be submitted timely before deadlines
• Preparing, monitoring and control of project budget
• To conduct periodic visits to project sites to verify progress claims against status of workdone
• To always follow up closely with client’s claim department to ensure claims are certified as per workdone and payments are approved.
• To assist in ensuring execution of projects sites are in compliance on all contractual and legal obligations

Site Support

• To coordinate and liaise with project operation team to ensure products used and site workdone are as per drawing and specifications
• To monitor site progress and manage costs

Technical Documentation

• Develop comprehensive technical documentation including method statements and project proposals.

Requirements

• Possess Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying/Construction Management/Civil Engineering
• Min 3 years working experience in related field with understanding of waterproofing and epoxy flooring system.
• Familiar with Autocad and Microsoft office
• Must be initiative, pro-active, good interpersonal skills, multi-tasking and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Highly motivated, responsible and able to work independently
• Good negotiation and analytical skills
