Safety Coordinator - Part-time

As a Safety Coordinator at HOTPACK PACKAGING INDUSTRIES SDN. BHD., you will be responsible for ensuring the organisation maintains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. This full-time role is based in Senai, Johor and will play a crucial part in the company's commitment to protecting its workforce.

What you'll be doing

1. Conducting regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions
2. Delivering safety training and workshops to educate employees on best practices and procedures
3. Investigating incidents and accidents, determining root causes, and recommending preventive measures
4. Ensuring the company complies with all relevant health and safety regulations and legislation
5. Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to the organisation's safety performance
6. Collaborating with department heads to develop and implement effective safety policies and protocols
7. Promoting a positive safety culture and encouraging employee engagement in safety initiatives

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 3 years' experience in a safety or risk management role, preferably within the manufacturing industry
2. Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with employees at all levels
4. Ability to think critically, identify risks, and implement appropriate control measures
5. Proficient in data analysis and report writing to track and communicate safety performance
6. Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently to drive continuous improvement
7. Relevant safety certifications or qualifications (e.g. OSH-C) would be an advantage
