Senior Operation Executive

Job Summary

The Senior Operation Executive supports and coordinates daily manufacturing and production operations to ensure smooth workflow, efficient manpower utilization, optimal machine performance, and consistent production output. This role focuses on monitoring production performance, improving operational efficiency, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating and monitoring daily manufacturing and production operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
• Monitor manpower deployment, work methods, and machine utilization to achieve targeted production efficiency and output.
• Support production planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance activities to meet delivery requirements.
• Track production performance, identify operational issues or inefficiencies, and report findings with improvement suggestions to management.
• Monitor production KPIs related to productivity, efficiency, quality, cost, and delivery performance.
• Supervise and guide production operators to maintain work discipline, productivity, and adherence to SOPs.
• Assist in controlling production costs, material usage, machine downtime, and maintenance-related expenses.
• Support continuous improvement activities, including process improvement, waste reduction, and productivity enhancement.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and compliance with 5S standards on the shop floor.
• Ensure compliance with production quality requirements, safety regulations, and company procedures.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of ISO Management Systems (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001), including documentation and operational compliance.
• Assist in monitoring environmental practices such as waste handling, material usage, and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Support internal audits, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and follow-up activities related to quality and environmental systems.
• Assist in monitoring inventory levels for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to ensure production continuity.
• Work closely with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Warehouse, and other departments to ensure effective coordination and smooth operations.
• Perform other operational duties as assigned by management from time to time.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Age between 30 – 40 years old.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of working experience in manufacturing or production operations, preferably in a supervisory or senior executive role.
• Good leadership and people coordination skills with hands-on operational involvement.
• Knowledge of production planning, manufacturing processes, machine efficiency, maintenance coordination, and cost awareness.
• Experience in monitoring manpower productivity and production performance.
• Familiar with 5S practices, safety requirements, and continuous improvement concepts.
• Knowledge or exposure to ISO Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001) and environmental compliance will be an added advantage.
• Able to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks in a production environment.
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Responsible, proactive, results-oriented, and willing to work closely on the shop floor.
