The Senior/Procurement Executive reports directly to the Procurement Manager. He/she is responsible for the purchasing of materials and services for the company’s businesses.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end procurement activities: sourcing, tendering, negotiation, contracting and purchase order management in accordance with Procurement Governance & Regulations.
• Identify reliable sources of supply for materials and services of require quality and quantity to be delivered on time.
• Carry out price analysis and conduct purchase/contract negotiation with vendors/suppliers to ensure materials/services are acquired at most competitive pricing.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships; perform supplier evaluation, qualification, and performance management.
• Liaise and collaborate with stakeholders on materials/services received and closing of PO.
• Provide regular feedback on materials/services status to stakeholders.
• Identify, explore, and implement innovative procurement strategies aligned with best practices.

Requirements:

• Minimum three years’ experience in similar position, preferably within project, M&E, construction or engineering industries.
• Possess a recognized Degree or Diploma, supported by relevant experience.
• SAP S4 Hana working experience is a plus but not a must.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities to make sound and timely decisions in complex situations.
• Capable of working independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Executive to support procurement operations within a healthcare environment. The successful candidate will assist in sourcing, purchasing, vendor coordination, and inventory management to ensure smooth operational support for various departments.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Operations

• Support the Procurement Manager and team in daily procurement activities.

Purchase Requisition & Order Management

• Key Direct Materials Purchase - resins, components, packaging materials, etc . An experienced buyer understands resin grades, (or at least has supplies source experience in one of these key Material category) market fluctuations, and supplier reliability, ensuring supplies on time for the operation. He/she should be able to anticipate supply chain risks, understand how to review stock on hand and monitor supplier delivery, and ensures materials arrive on time.

• Supplier Negotiation & Cost Control Responsibility,  For example -  Resin prices can swing dramatically with global oil markets. An experience buyer will read market trend, knows how to negotiate, work on cost down, negotiate extension of vendor payment terms. (an admin person will wait for his/her manager to tell her what to do)

• Indirect Procurement beyond Direct Materials, injection molding operation requires operation supplies, maintenance supplies, other repetitive indirect purchase. An experienced buyer can evaluate suppliers, manage lead times, ensure compatibility with production requirements and is confidently to execute competitive quotes review.

• Compliance & Documentation Requirement; Experienced buyers are familiar with ISO standards, regulatory requirements, and audit processes. They ensure supplier certifications are valid and documentation is complete, reducing compliance risks. He/She can handle audit (as I don’t agree audit should only be handle by Manager). Our Buyers, Engineers who are functioning like our documented ISO procedure/WI, should be able to handle audit unless he/she does not practice per what is documented per our procedure.

(e.g  never maintain AVL, never do yearly supplier performance evaluation, or allow PO release after supplier delivery,  etc.)

• Cross-Functional Collaboration , Experience Buyer can also confidently lead and attend meeting with project, operations, engineering, and finance when needed. Leading a meeting to resolve some issues with cross functioning team is not the sole duty of a dept HOD. As a Senior staff in a company having the right experience should be confident to attend meeting related to supplies and situational cases to discuss options and solutions with cross functioning team.

• Experienced Buyers can confidently execute procurement strategy tactically, handle negotiations, manage day-to-day supplier interactions, and ensure materials are supplied on time.

Job Responsibilities:

• Liaise with suppliers on technical and procurement matters
• Track status of any orders and monitor supplier on time delivery
• Review and extract information from technical drawings and data
• Track and update drawing/workpackage configuration
• Assist in sourcing of suitable suppliers and process purchases
• Perform general record-keeping, office duties and any others as assigned

Job Requirements:

• At least 2-3 years of relevant working experience in procurement (in Marine purchasing function preferred)
• Able to work with minimum supervision
• Good communication skills
• Positive attitude, willing to learn and able to work under pressure
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially knowledge with Excel
• Logistics knowledge for Shipment Arrangement
