Squarepoint is seeking a subject matter expert to join our Information Security team as a Senior Information Security Engineer. This senior position plays a pivotal role in strengthening our security posture by providing expert guidance, and driving improvements across key areas such as network, cloud, data, and system security. The successful candidate will act as an escalation point to the Security Operations, ensuring complex security problems are effectively analysed and resolved. This role includes overseeing security in critical IT projects, leading threat modelling for complex systems, auditing key systems for security gaps, and building automated capabilities to continuously validate controls’ effectiveness and system resilience. • Solid knowledge of cloud, network, and systems security concepts.

THKMC was incorporated on 13 October 2011 as a charity to provide multiple social and welfare services to the community at large, and achieved an Institute of Public Character (IPC) status on 18 November 2011. THKMC is the charitable arm of Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society, which lives by the mission - To Serve Mankind - to help anyone who needs help regardless of their race, religion, colour, language, creed and culture. THKMC today serves more than 70,000 beneficiaries through more than 70 programmes across five Services, which include Disability, Early Intervention for Children, Family, Seniors' Community, and Therapy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Responsibilities

• Write and maintain programs and tools to collect, clean, combine, and organise numerical and text-based data used by social service organisations.
• Create programs that automatically produce management and audit reports on a regular schedule.
• Build interactive charts, graphs, infographics, and posters using code and web development tools.
• Design, launch, and maintain dashboards and data applications, keeping all code organised and up to date.
• Use statistical methods to analyse numerical and descriptive data from the social service sector.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, data engineering, or related fields.
• Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language and associated ecosystem such as Python, SQL, JavaScript, or similar tools for building data solutions.
• Hands-on experience with data visualisation, dashboarding, and application tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Experience with at least one quantitative analysis software such as SPSS, STATA, R and/or similar tools.

THK Family Service Centres (FSCs) have played a pivotal role as essential community hubs, offering social services to families grappling with psycho-social challenges. Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities currently manages five FSCs strategically located in Jurong West, Bukit Panjang, Tanjong Pagar, MacPherson and Bedok North.

The Integrity team is dedicated to safeguarding our users on Grab. We are building a centralized, unified Risk and Compliance technology platform using Grab's proven risk and compliance tech, GrabDefence. We use our datasets and advanced AI capabilities to address critical challenges, from ensuring safety and preventing fraud to achieving regulatory compliance. We are involved in the entire data lifecycle, including analyzing user behavior, identifying financial crime anomalies, and developing detection and prevention modules across user onboarding and transaction journeys.

Get to Know the Role

Reporting to the Senior Analytics Manager in the Integrity team, you will be a key analytics partner in operationalizing the Unified Risk Platform that manages risk across the Grab Ecosystem. You will conduct deep-dive analysis on user behaviors, product funnels, and transaction patterns to identify potential risks and new fraud typologies on our partner platforms. Your data-driven insights will directly guide the design of risk detection strategies, the optimization of shared AI/Machine Learning models, and the implementation of crucial risk controls to safeguard a diverse user base from multiple types of fraud and financial crime.

This role is based onsite in our Petaling Jaya office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will be the subject matter expert in using data to analyze fraud loss, business/product performance, and the effectiveness of risk controls across different Grab business verticals.
• You will lead the identification of new fraud and risk patterns, developing data-driven rules and strategies to address potential risks using advanced methods like Graph-Based Detection.
• You will conduct statistical analyses to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of detection systems, maintaining data and rule integrity.
• You will architect automated self-serve capabilities for stakeholders to monitor key risk metrics, attack patterns, and the efficiency of fraud/AML detection systems.
• You will collaborate with Grab business teams to support data extractions, audits, and compliance requirements, ensuring all necessary data is provided for assessments.
• You will conduct experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of risk controls and recommend improvements based on findings.
