The Assistant Chief Engineer supports the Director of Engineering / Chief Engineer in overseeing the day-to-day operation, maintenance, repair, and improvement of all engineering systems and facilities. This role ensures the property operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with statutory and brand standards while delivering excellent guest and colleague experiences.

You will participate in all sales activities and work in line with the sales and marketing plan for the various market segments in order to exceed hotel revenue and targets. The scope of responsibility includes: promoting the hotel brand, contracting new business and maximizing revenue for the hotel.You are also in charge of establishing outstanding businesses relationships within local, domestic and international markets monitoring competitor activities and market intelligence attending travel functions and sales road shows and organizing sales trips to promote sales for the hotel. We will provide training that will equip you to be a confident Sales Manager who stands out in the market by achieving exceptional results.You will report directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing who will provide coaching and support to enable you to achieve what you are driving for.

You will be the Salespoint of contact for all existing and potential customers to the hotel and will negotiate and confirm all events within the guidelines of the Hotels Sales Strategy. Additionally you will identify up-selling opportunities, maximize revenue through catering and group bookings, and provide efficient and effective service to handle customer inquiries within predefined parameters in order to close sales. You will report directly to the Sales Manager.

You will be assisting the Marketing Manager in all marketing matters, develop marketing plans and strategies and maintain relationships with media bodies, society, opinion leaders and other key stakeholders to ensure that the brand is moving to the desired directions. The overall objective is to position the hotel properly in order to achieve the marketing objectives, to match the business strategy and to represent our hotel and brand to guests from all over the world.
