Responsibilities

• Develop and implement electrical engineering solutions in collaboration with a cross‑functional project team to meet project objectives and safety standards 
• Define new design requirements, functional specifications and test documentation
• Design electronic circuits and/or systems at the test‑concept or operational level 
• Perform root cause analysis at the system or PCB level under broad supervision; evaluate test results and prepare detailed reports and recommended corrective actions
• Conduct qualification activities for PCB designs and electronic components
• Support the setup, configuration, and operation of test environments in accordance with documented test plans
• Apply a strong understanding of downhole tool working principles to support tool development, testing, troubleshooting, and performance evaluation
• Ensure all documentation complies with Halliburton’s standard processes, quality systems, and reporting requirements
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment, demonstrating clear and professional communication to support innovative engineering solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Master's in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
• Solid foundational knowledge of electrical and electronic circuit design, including the ability to interpret schematics and use standard laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, function generators, power supplies, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with fundamental electronic building blocks (e.g., DC-DC converters, operational amplifiers, ADCs/DACs, microcontrollers) is highly advantageous
• Knowledge of C/C++, VHDL/Verilog, MATLAB and/or LabView would be a plus
• Strong personal, professional, teamwork, and communication skills

Job Description :

• Under general supervision, applies functional specifications and uses engineering tools to design hardware for product changes and new development.
• Independently processes data, writes engineering reports, and conducts diagnosis of routine hardware malfunctions.
• Contributes in reliability analysis such as risk assessments and Failure Mode Effects Analysis by compiling and examining data.
• Identifies the testing requirement at a system level with the emphasis on complying with test standards and Halliburton's Health, Safety, and Environment procedures.
• Contributes to Halliburton's Intellectual Property portfolio by preparing Invention Disclosures and recognizing ideas that have Intellectual Property potential without disclosing confidential information.
• Coordinates with project leads to produce project deliverables by assessing input requirements and applying functional specifications.
• Develops relationships through excellent communication skills and acts as a key resource to provide innovative solutions.
• May participate in professional societies in area of specialization.

Requirement:

Requires completion of a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline; master's degree preferred.

Requires two years of related experience (requirement may be waived with master's degree).

End of Contract Staff:

• Counselling staff on off-boarding matters especially for those who still wish to continue employment but not offered employment by institution

• Working with institution to manage the off-boarding due to request from staff to end employment with varying dates (e.g. end earlier to save rental cost)

• Addressing staff enquires and varying request for the air ticket arrangements, working with recruitment agent for quotation for air ticket and managing logistics for repatriation

Transfer Staff:

• Extensive administrative work with provision of P-files, leave records, claims utilisation, salary and contract information for transfer staff

• Incomplete and wrong leave submission by staff which require extensive effort to reconcile before processing leave encashment

• Manual work related claims submission requiring multiple follow up and verification due to high volume of transfer 

• Verifying and resolving housing issues, as unauthorised tenancy will affectpass issuance and delay transfer

• Working with institution HR to ensure that staff who are nearing the 2 years contract are transferred before the pass expires

• Increase mid-month transfer which requires manual matching of roster due to absence of work schedule system to ensure accurate salary computation
