MerchantSpring is building a dedicated commercial division focused on selling to brands and vendors across e-commerce marketplaces. We are looking for a Sales Development Representative who is skilled in outbound prospecting and enjoys a high degree of ownership.
You’ll work directly with senior leadership and our Account Executive to build the outbound engine for this market and shape how MerchantSpring sells to brands and vendors globally.
This role is ideal for someone excited to drive the sales funnel, deploy AI-powered workflows, and operate in a fast-growing international business.
Success in this role is measured by consistently generating 30 qualified meetings per month for the Brands and Vendors Account Executive. You'll be expected to proactively create opportunities and consistently generate pipeline rather than relying on inbound or warm leads.
In order to achieve this, you will:
- Prospect into brands, vendors, and e-commerce leads.
- Build targeted, high-quality accounts and contact lists.
- Research target leads: identify personas, buying signals, relevant outreach triggers.
- Write sharp messaging that generates responses and meetings.
- Deploy AI tools and automation to improve prospecting efficiency, quality, and outcomes.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and prospecting data.
- Share learnings and contribute ideas to the wider sales team.
Qualifications
- Proven SDR, BDR, outbound sales, or lead generation experience.
- Strong cold outreach skills across email, phone, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels.
- Experience using Apollo, HubSpot, or similar sales prospecting tools.
- Excellent written communication to write clear, relevant outbound messages.
- Confidence using AI tools or automation to improve productivity and results.
- Strong CRM discipline and attention to detail.
- High energy, resilience, coachability, and a strong desire to improve. A self-starter.
Strongly Preferred:
- Experience working with e-commerce brands, vendors, marketplaces, agencies, or related technology, or an understanding of such ecosystems.
- An interest in SaaS, data products, brands, vendors, and the above relevant fields.
- Experience in mentoring or growing SDR teams.
- Entrepreneurial experience is a bonus, particularly for e-commerce, though not required.
- Help build a new commercial division from the ground up.
