Job Summary
The Managing Director / General Manager will be responsible for defining and driving AdvanzIT’s overall business strategy, growth roadmap, profitability, and operational excellence across Singapore and the wider APAC region. This role will lead company building across strategic partnerships, customer acquisition, team expansion, business planning, service delivery oversight, and project execution.
The position requires a hands-on business leader who can scale a young but ambitious organization into a trusted, profitable, and high-growth regional systems integrator focused on Data Center, Enterprise IT, and Audio-Video & Collaboration solutions. The role will be accountable for year-on-year revenue growth, margin improvement, customer trust, organizational capability, and building Singapore as the regional headquarters for Southeast Asia expansion.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Strategy and Regional Growth
- Define and drive AdvanzIT’s short-term and long-term business strategy for Singapore and Southeast Asia.
- Build and execute annual and multi-year business plans aligned to revenue growth, profitability, market expansion, and capability development.
- Identify new market opportunities, industry verticals, strategic accounts, and expansion priorities across Southeast Asia.
- Position AdvanzIT as a trusted regional systems integrator with strong differentiation in Data Center, Enterprise IT, and AV solutions.
- Lead the company toward sustainable year-on-year business growth while maintaining financial discipline and operational control.
2. Revenue Growth and Customer Acquisition
- Drive new customer acquisition across enterprise, hyperscale, commercial, industrial, and channel-driven opportunities.
- Develop and nurture executive relationships with key customers, consultants, project stakeholders, and strategic accounts.
- Own business growth targets including revenue, gross margin, net profitability, pipeline conversion, and account penetration.
- Personally lead strategic sales pursuits, large opportunities, and key customer negotiations.
- Ensure a strong sales engine with consistent pipeline generation, opportunity qualification, solution positioning, and closure discipline.
3. Partnerships and Ecosystem Development
- Develop strategic partnerships with OEMs, distributors, technology vendors, service partners, and regional delivery partners.
- Strengthen AdvanzIT’s presence and credibility with global and regional partners across Singapore and Southeast Asia.
- Identify partnership-led growth models including subcontracting, services partnerships, market access partnerships, and regional capability alliances.
- Negotiate and maintain commercially sound, scalable, and high-trust partner relationships that support growth and profitability.
4. Business Goal Setting and Execution
- Set clear annual, quarterly, and functional goals for sales, delivery, operations, partnerships, finance alignment, and team growth.
- Translate strategic objectives into measurable execution plans for the leadership and operational teams.
- Establish performance accountability across business functions through structured reviews, dashboards, and operating rhythm.
- Drive a high-performance culture focused on ownership, execution speed, customer success, and profitable growth.
5. Hiring and Organization Building
- Build AdvanzIT Singapore into a strong regional headquarters by hiring and developing high-quality talent.
- Lead workforce planning to expand technical, sales, project, services, and operations teams in line with business growth.
- Recruit key leaders and high-potential professionals who align with company culture, growth ambition, and customer focus.
- Strengthen organization structure, roles, reporting lines, and talent capability to support Southeast Asia expansion.
- Create a culture of accountability, teamwork, business ethics, technical excellence, and customer-first thinking.
6. Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day business operations to ensure efficiency, responsiveness, governance, and scalability.
- Drive cross-functional coordination across sales, procurement, finance, projects, services, and customer support.
- Ensure business operations support profitable delivery, cash flow discipline, customer satisfaction, and risk control.
- Continuously improve internal processes, business systems, controls, and reporting mechanisms to enable scale.
7. Services and Project Team Leadership
- Provide leadership oversight to services, implementation, and project delivery teams.
- Ensure projects are delivered with quality, accountability, commercial discipline, and customer satisfaction.
- Build a delivery organization capable of executing projects across multiple countries in Southeast Asia.
- Review project risks, resource planning, customer escalations, milestone tracking, and delivery performance.
- Ensure services and project teams are aligned with company growth objectives, customer expectations, and margin goals.
8. Profitability and Financial Discipline
- Own the company’s growth with profitability, not just topline expansion.
- Monitor revenue, gross margins, project margins, cost controls, overhead planning, and overall business health.
- Work closely with finance and operations teams to improve forecasting, collection discipline, payment planning, and cash flow management.
- Ensure that scale-up plans are financially responsible and aligned with sustainable business outcomes.
9. Market Presence and Brand Leadership
- Represent AdvanzIT in front of customers, partners, OEMs, consultants, and industry stakeholders.
- Build the company’s market credibility as a futuristic, innovative, and dependable regional technology partner.
- Support branding, thought leadership, and strategic visibility initiatives that strengthen regional market presence.
- Champion AdvanzIT’s reputation as a high-value systems integrator delivering end-to-end solutions and lifecycle support.

Candidate Profile
- Proven leadership experience in Systems Integration, Data Center, Enterprise IT, AV, or related technology services industries
- Strong track record in business growth, P&L ownership, and profitable scaling of operations
- Deep experience in strategic partnerships, customer acquisition, and regional business development
- Strong ability to build and lead cross-functional teams including sales, operations, projects, and services
- Experience managing complex customer relationships and high-value business opportunities
- Strong commercial, financial, and operational decision-making capability
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build, scale, and lead in a high-growth environment
- Strong understanding of Southeast Asia markets, especially Singapore-led regional operations

Preferred Experience
- 20+ years of experience in technology, infrastructure, systems integration, or project-led services businesses
- Experience leading multi-country business expansion in APAC
