Summary/Objective

Reporting to the SGM BD of JERA Asia, the Manager, Business Development will be responsible for greenfield, brownfield, mergers & acquisition (M&A)power/energy projects portfolio development particularly in the area of thermal and LNG infrastructure related opportunities, to include all supporting development work-streams and coordination with internal and external stakeholders, risk management required in relevant project development, and coordination and collaboration with all related functions (e.g. development, financing, technical etc.). The individual will work directly with the SGM BD and other members of the business development team (including JERA HQ as well as local office members in Asia) to support projects and maximize value creation associated with those projects and the resultant portfolio. The candidate will have demonstrated expertise in project development, merger and acquisitions, problem solving, meticulous organization and communicating and working with diverse functional groups.

Essential Functions

·      Support business development activities, including identification, evaluation, and execution of new opportunities across Asia and Oceania.

·      Assist in the preparation and review of contracts associated with power/energy projects, support in the development of contractual strategies aligned with project, regional, and market objectives.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities to grow market presence.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with enterprise-level clients.
• Negotiate terms, close deals, and consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and evolving customer needs.
• Provide market and customer insights to marketing and product teams to inform strategic decisions.
• Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through ongoing engagement and support.
• Respond to client inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Work closely with internal teams including marketing, product, and technical departments.
• Share insights on local market demands to support product localization and enhancement.
• Responsible for achieving individual annual sales targets as set by management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of sales experience in the software industry, preferably in office solutions or SaaS/PaaS.
• Demonstrated success in meeting sales goals and expanding client portfolios.
• In-depth knowledge of software sales cycles and licensing models.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Highly self-driven, results-oriented, and able to excel in a competitive environment.

Job Summary

The Business Development Manager will drive growth by developing strategies, managing client pipelines, and forging partnerships within the property management and PropTech sectors to expand adoption of the Apex AI Platform.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies to increase adoption of the Apex AI Platform
• Build and manage a pipeline of prospective clients, including property management companies and MCSTs, to achieve sales targets
• Conduct capability and readiness assessments of potential clients and integration partners to tailor solutions effectively
• Develop compelling value propositions and lead end-to-end sales engagements with senior stakeholders to close deals
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with property managers, technology vendors, and industry bodies to enhance market presence
• Contribute to go-to-market strategies, participate in industry events, and support platform positioning to drive brand awareness
• Monitor market trends and analyze data to identify new growth opportunities and inform business strategies

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or related discipline
• 3–6 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or account management
• Proven track record in B2B sales or technology ecosystem development
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including engagement with C-suite executives
• Experience in PropTech, SaaS, or enterprise technology
• Exposure to AI, property management, or smart building solutions
• Singapore Citizen or PR preferred

As a business banking manager, your job scope would include prospecting and acquiring of new to bank customers as well as cross selling of business banking products. The products includes; Business property loan, commercial property loan and temporary bridging loan.

skills and experience required

An ideal candidates should come with good communication and analytical skills. A diploma is minimally required >1 year of experience in business banking is required.
