Job Summary
Prepare and manage comprehensive construction programs, resolve technical drawing discrepancies, and lead subcontractor coordination to ensure timely project delivery. Collaborate with clients and consultants to maintain transparent communication and uphold quality, safety, and regulatory compliance throughout all project stages.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain master construction programs and catch-up schedules to ensure project milestones are met
- Identify and resolve drawing discrepancies by coordinating with technical teams and consultants before work commencement
- Manage subcontractors and oversee site work progress to align with project timelines and quality standards
- Plan site activities including scheduling, construction methods, and forecasting equipment, material, and manpower needs to optimize resource utilization and minimize wastage
- Communicate project progress and issues effectively with clients and their representatives, including architects and engineers, through regular meetings
- Implement and monitor quality control measures and health and safety protocols on site to maintain compliance and safeguard personnel
- Ensure strict adherence to workplace safety practices throughout all construction activities
- Prepare and submit all necessary documentation to relevant authorities to secure project Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP), Certificate of Statutory Completion (CS), and other approvals
- Participate actively in tender processes, including design review, submission preparation, and evaluation
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support project and organizational objectives
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or Project Management recognized by the Board of Architects, Professional Engineering Board, or Building and Construction Authority (BCA)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Build-To-Order (BTO) project management
- Proficiency in MS Project and MS Office for project scheduling and documentation
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills demonstrated through effective project management under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate clear stakeholder engagement
- Self-motivated with a passion for people and project management, capable of working independently and collaboratively
