Job Summary

We are looking for an AI Application Engineer to support the enablement, optimization, and deployment of AI models on automotive-grade SoCs.

In this role, you will work closely with internal compiler/runtime teams and external customers to bring AI models from training to optimized inference on embedded NPU/DSP platforms, with a strong focus on performance, accuracy, and system integration.

Key Responsibilities

AI Model Enablement & Optimization

• Enable and deploy AI models (e.g., BEV, object detection, segmentation, classification) on Gen4/5 SoC platforms with CNNIP/DSP/NPU HWA.
• Perform model performance analysis (latency, throughput, multi-core scaling) and identify bottlenecks related to memory bandwidth, scheduling, or operator mapping.
• Support model optimization workflows, including:
  • Post-Training Quantization (PTQ)
  • Quantization-Aware Training (QAT) collaboration
  • Operator fusion, graph optimization, and execution partitioning
• Analyze accuracy degradation caused by quantization or operator limitations and propose mitigation strategies.

Embedded AI Inference & System Integration

• Integrate AI models into embedded runtime environments (Linux / QNX).
• Debug issues related to:
  • CNNIP/DSP/NPU offloading
  • Memory allocation / IPMMU
  • Data transfer overhead and multi-core synchronization
• Validate AI workloads on target boards and simulators (SIL / HIL).

Toolchain & Model Workflow Support

• Work with AI compiler and runtime toolchains (e.g., ONNX-based workflows, hybrid compiler, MWMX).
• Support ONNX model handling, including:
  • Graph inspection and modification
  • Model segmentation and execution control
  • Quantized (QDQ) ONNX models
• Develop or maintain internal tools and scripts to improve model validation, benchmarking, and customer workflows.

Customer & Cross-Team Collaboration

• Act as a technical interface between customers, internal development teams, and field application engineers.
• Support customer evaluations, PoCs, and demos on automotive AI platforms.
• Provide technical guidance, documentation, and best practices for AI model deployment.
• Contribute to weekly technical reports, issue tracking, and release validation activities.

The Acceptance Solution team within Client Service is to support Cybersource products and services. Cybersource offers a full-service payment management platform for Acquirer partners and merchants, covering global payment processing, fraud management and payment security systems.

What a Technical Account Manager does at Visa:
The Technical Account Manager supports and assists Acquirer partners and online and offline merchants using all Cybersource Enterprise products and services. The candidate will be responsible for providing technical and operational support via e-mail, direct phone on a daily basis, and face-to-face meetings occasionally. Responsibilities also include assisting new and existing clients to set Cybersource’s digital/online payment services, educating them on the use of our tools and reports, and solving issues by collaborating cross-functionally internally.
The candidate will report to the Director, Client Services Acceptance Solutions Japan, and is required to work as a team member, displaying accurate interpretation and response as a world-class client services organization.

In this role, you are expected to:

• Act as primary technical and operational point of contact for Acquirer partners, addressing any technical challenges and payment system related questions from them.
• Manage partner/merchant escalations until the issues have been resolved.
• Configure internal systems to enable effective processing for clients using our products and services
• Manage new merchant implementations and provide consultative guidance.
• Monitor accounts to ensure optimal transaction performance.
• Advocate product enhancement requests with our cross-functional teams.
• Lead product training and perform account business reviews as needed.
• Maintain expert knowledge of Cybersource products and services through training and self-study
• Collaborate with internal/external partners and build good business relationships
• Engage and manage account/partners in online/face to face meetings

Responsibilities

1. Build the Application Security Program
• Develop policies, procedures, and standards to safeguard our applications.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement controls to mitigate security threats.
• Help manage external pentesting required to meet regulatory compliance.
  
2. Integrate Security into the SDLC
• Implement and manage a Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) process.
• Design, implement, and operate a DevSecOps program with automated security testing in our CI/CD pipelines.
• Guide development teams in integrating security best practices.
• Manage a security bug-bounty program, responding to reports in a timely manner and ensuring fixes are tested and implemented by our developers.
  
3. Foster a Secure Code Culture
• Promote application-security awareness and best practices across all teams.
• Conduct code reviews and provide guidance on secure coding practices and secure software architecture.
• Provide training and resources to development teams to ensure secure coding practices.

• Proven experience in the application security domain, with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience.
• Familiarity with key application security principles, frameworks, and technologies (e.g., CWE, MITRE, OWASP, CIS Benchmarks)
• Strong understanding of security principles and practices.
• Previous experience as a developer is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with application security assessment tools.
• Experience with end-to-end vulnerability management (e.g., SAST and DAST).
• Technical knowledge to understand vulnerability risk and remediation steps.
• DevSecOps experience, building security controls into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub actions, CircleCI, GitLab CI/CD).
• Familiar with security hardening standards and implementation.

Nice to have

• Working proficiency in Japanese is helpful but not necessary.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and collaborate with distributed and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with building custom security tooling is a plus.
• Cyber Security related certifications.
