Job Responsibilities:

Technical Support

• Configure and maintain workstations and laptops.
• Provide software support for end users.
• Manage IT peripherals including printers, monitors, keyboards, mice etc.
• Perform technical asset audits.

Network & Connectivity Support

• Assist in troubleshooting wired and wireless network connection issues for office users.
• Maintain network equipment (switches, routers, access points).
• Coordinate with external vendors when as required.
• Assist with maintaining VPN configurations and remote access solutions.

IT Helpdesk & User Support

• Respond to IT support requests.
• Provide Tier-1 support for common IT issues.
• Document solutions and keep our internal knowledge base up to date.
• Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Diploma, Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems is a must; hands-on macOS experience is highly preferred.
• Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (IP addresses, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi).
• Familiar with system installations, disk partitioning, and driver management.
• A great sense of responsibility, a collaborative mindset, and an eagerness to grow as an IT engineer.
• Conversational in using Chinese is a plus to collaborate effectively with our regional stakeholders.

Job Summary

The system administrator collaborates with IT and other teams to maintain and enhance the security, performance, and scalability of IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain server and network infrastructure to ensure high availability, optimal performance, and robust security across all systems
• Configure and set up hardware including workstations, network devices, and servers to support operational needs
• Perform routine system maintenance, apply updates, and manage backups to ensure system reliability and data integrity
• Evaluate and implement new technologies to optimize existing IT processes and infrastructure

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Engineering or a related field
• Knowledge of Linux operating systems and network fundamentals to support system administration tasks
• Familiar with scripting languages such as Bash or Python to automate and streamline IT operations
• Familiar with infrastructure monitoring tools to track system health and performance
• Demonstrated eagerness to learn and adapt to emerging technologies

The Intern will support the Tech department in daily technical operations while gaining hands‑on exposure to IT support and software development processes. This role is ideal for students looking to build practical skills in both IT infrastructure and application development. The intern will work closely with Tech department staff to support end users, assist in maintaining systems, and contribute to small development or automation tasks.

Key Responsibilities

IT Support & Operations

• Provide first-level technical support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
• Support user account administration such as onboarding, access requests, and password resets.
• Perform system updates, routine checks, and basic preventive maintenance.
• Assist with IT hardware and software inventory tracking.

Software Development & Automation (RPA)

• Assist in the development, testing, and debugging of small internal tools, scripts, or applications.
• Create automation scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Python) to improve IT processes where applicable.
• Collaborate with IT team members to understand business requirements and propose simple technical solutions.

Project & Documentation

• Contribute to ongoing IT projects such as system upgrades, cloud initiatives, cybersecurity enhancements, or app improvements.
• Document troubleshooting steps, system processes, software changes, and technical tasks.
• Support setup and troubleshooting of audiovisual equipment for meetings and events.
