Job Summary

You will develop and optimize data integration pipelines and ETL/ELT codes using Teradata SQL, Informatica, and Apache Spark to support data warehousing and analytics. You will also automate workflows and enhance application performance to drive efficient data operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop ETL/ELT codes using Teradata SQL, Informatica PowerCenter, Apache Spark, QueryGrid, and Trino to transform and load data into Teradata data warehouses and datamarts
• Optimize and tune performance of complex data applications to reduce resource consumption and improve efficiency
• Design and implement data pipeline orchestration frameworks using GCFR, shell scripting, and BTEQ to automate end-to-end data workflows
• Integrate automation frameworks with control systems to ensure reliable and scalable data processing
• Apply CDC (Change Data Capture) concepts, preferably with Java-based implementations, to support real-time data updates
• Utilize Apache Spark and Hadoop ecosystem tools (Hive, Kafka, NiFi, Iceberg, Impala) to manage and process large-scale data sets
• Write and maintain shell scripts and BTEQ scripts to support data operations and automation tasks

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience in data engineering and ETL development

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with strong experience in Java-based application development. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in Spring Boot and cloud technologies, with the ability to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features

Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms (AI Cloud / relevant cloud environments)

Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance

Ensure best practices in coding standards, testing, and deployment

Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement

Required Skills & Experience

Overall IT Experience:  Atleast 8 yrs

Java: 2–5 years of hands-on experience

Spring Boot: 2–5 years of experience in building microservices

AI Cloud / Cloud Technologies: 2–5 years of relevant experience

Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture

Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)

Preferred Profile

Experience working in onsite project environments

Good problem-solving and analytical skills

Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Solid experience in any of technologies: Java, NodeJS, Ruby on Rails, .Net , Agile, ReactJs
Experience with version control systems such as Git, Continuous Integration (Bamboo/TeamCity)
Experience developing in Mac/Linux environment
Experience working in agile teams – TDD, Pair programming, Scrum, XP
Familiar with both Windows and UNIX/Linux servers, Design Patterns, Unit Testing
