Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Specialist with in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in Cisco Routers, Cisco Nexus, Arista VxLAN, Routing and Switching technologies, AnyConnect VPN, and Cisco ASA. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily management of network activities, ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our network infrastructure across various environments, including data centers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Operations & Management:

• Manage daily network activities, including assessing requests from business units (BU) or lines of business (LOBT) and preparing implementation scripts that align with established network standards.

• Provide essential support for incident and problem troubleshooting, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on operations.

• Conduct vulnerability reviews, assessments, and plan and execute patching or firmware upgrades for network devices to maintain security and performance.

• Collaborate with network vendors, telco providers, and external partners to ensure seamless operations and meet project requirements.

• Attend conference calls with other support teams and partners for deployment, incident support, and resolutions as required.

• Support external connectivities in data centers, working closely with partners.

• Be available to support during CR green zone windows for implementing changes and deployments, both remotely and directly in data centers.

• Adhere strictly to the processes and policies of the Bank.

• Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently and with team

• Must have basic knowledge and experience in scripting and network automation.

• Requirement

• Strong experince in managing enterprise network with certifications of CCNA/CCNP or CCIE

• Ability to configure Cisco IOS and NX-OS settings for Cisco Routers and Nexus Switches, including implementing security configurations and managing network connections. 

• Must have good hands-on experience in Cisco Routers, Cisco Nexus, Arista VxLAN, Routing and Switching technologies, AnyConnect VPN, and Cisco ASA, security enforcement, and management across various network infrastructures.

• Must have depth knowledge to prepare configuration scripts in Cisco IOS, NXOS, ASA VPN, Arista EOS, Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies like OSPF, BGP, MP-BGP, EVPN VxLAN, STP, RSTP, IPSEC VPN, Cisco AnyConnect VPN

• Configure Cisco ASA for remote access VPN services (AnyConnect VPN, IPsec Tunnel), ensuring the use of secure protocols for confidentiality and encryption 

• Should have basic understanding and knowledge of CDN, DDOS, DNS, F5 GTM & LTM, Palto Alto & Checkpoint firewalls

As an Avaloq Developer, you will be responsible for developing technical solutions to business problems. This usually begins with defining, analysing the requirements. Managing requirements at the project level can help fulfil business needs. Solutions often include a software-systems development component, but may also consist of process improvement, organizational change or strategic planning and policy development. You will be responsible for the technical design and implementation of the code both from a DBS param and incorporating into the overall Kernel solutions across the business units we support

- Perform parameterization and customization in Avaloq Core Banking Platform.

- Provide technical expertise and support for internal and external stakeholders.

- Mentor and coach junior Avaloq developers.

- Assist project / programme managers in project planning & project strategies.

Requirements:

- At least least 5 years of development experience in Avaloq Core Banking Platform.

- Participation in multiple Avaloq Core Banking Platform implementations in various business / technical streams.

- Ability to develop high level software designs and solutions.

- Excellent analytical skills and systematic approach to problem solving.

- Ability to articulate complex technical issues to business stakeholders.

- Good understanding of core business processes and products in the private banking industry.

Job Description

You will be crucial in ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of applications supporting the Wealth Management Business. This role emphasizes a proactive approach to system reliability through extensive automation and the strategic integration of Generative AI to optimize operational workflows and manual tasks. You will be instrumental in driving efficiency and innovation within our technology landscape.

Key Accountabilities

• Provide day-to-day support for all applications supporting Wealth Management Business and Applications.
• Monitor critical system components and troubleshoot problem areas effectively.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to deliver timely fixes for critical application issues.
• Create sustainable systems and services through comprehensive automation and continuous uplifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform business and impact analysis in a structured manner.
• Analyze and respond to end-user queries and issues efficiently and promptly.
• Coordinate with vendors for solution delivery and release upgrades.
• Execute system maintenance duties to ensure seamless application usage and adherence to compliance standards.
• Proactively identify problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks.
• Gather and analyze metrics for system performance tuning and fault finding.
• Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning.
• Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service level objectives.

• Leverage Generative AI tools and techniques to automate routine operational tasks, enhance troubleshooting capabilities, and generate insights for system optimization.
• Drive the adoption of automation frameworks and tools to minimize manual intervention and improve system reliability and efficiency.
• Support and manage multiple client applications.
• Participate in 24x7 SRE on-call rotations and escalation workflows as required, including occasional weekend support.
• Adhere to SRE best practices and guidelines in all work aspects.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT application support for Avaloq system
• 5+ years of experience with a Degree in Business Information Science, Computer Science, or Engineering disciplines.
• Good knowledge of databases such as Oracle, MSSQL, and MariaDB.
• Knowledge of Investment Applications is a plus.
• Proficiency in programming languages/tools such as JAVA/J2EE, Spring, Webservices, SQL, Shell Scripting/Python, Messaging (Message Queue), GIT, and Kafka.
• Understanding of REST API Methods and Webhooks.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical steps to a non-technical audience.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based technologies and tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Elasticsearch, AppDynamics).
• Familiarity with various cloud technologies and a DevOps environment.
• Knowledge of banking or wealth systems like Avaloq, Marginman or Icos
• Experience in IBM WebSphere MQ, Connect Direct, SSH, Tivoli workload scheduler, and Linux/Unix environments.
• Demonstrated ability to articulate solutions effectively.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and as a self-directed, independent contributor.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing automation solutions for operational tasks.
• Familiarity with Generative AI concepts and their application in IT operations, including but not limited to intelligent alerting, predictive analytics, and automated response generation.
