Department and Position

We are seeking a talented DevOps Platform Engineer to joinour dynamic Capital Market IT (CMI) department!

As a DevOps Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure and automation tools. You will work closely with development teams to ensure smooth deploymentand operation of our applications. You will be a key contributor to our continuous improvement efforts, ensuring our environments are always reliable,secure, and efficient.

CMI involves technology solutions and systems used infinancial markets for trading, investment, and related activities. This includes electronic trading platforms, risk management systems, market risk,counterparty risk, algorithmic trading, data analytics, and regulatory measures. The use of advanced technologies like API’s, artificial intelligence and cloud solutions are also becoming increasingly prevalent in capital marketsto enhance efficiency and decision-making processes.

Main Responsibilities

• Research, design, and develop computer software or specialised utility programs.
• Develop and maintain automation tools for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes.
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure and application performance issues.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest DevOps technologies and trends.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of our DevOps culture and processes.

Qualifications and Profile

• Candidates should have 1-3 years experience in relevant activities.

Technical

• Good knowledge in UNIX platform and database management systems such as SQL, Oracle, Sybase and Big Data.
• Experience with automation frameworks and libraries.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell script and PowerShell.
• Good exposure to DevOps tools & technologies like Gitlab, Ansible, Jenkins, Maven, Elastic Search, Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, Control-M, KAFKA, Confluence, Jira, and MQ Series.
• Experience with Docker / Kubernetes
• Experience with AWS Cloud platforms and services
• Familiarity with AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) and willingness to learn best practices for their effective use
• Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and eagerness to develop skills in prompt engineering and responsible AI usage
• Ability to critically review AI-generated code and outputs with guidance from senior team members
• Interest in exploring how AI tools can improve development workflows and problem-solving approaches

Functional

• Experience in supporting capital market applications and trading systems, ideally within the dynamic landscape of Market Risk/Front Office operations with a commendable grasp of financial products (Treasury, FX, Credit, IRD, Bonds, RSF, etc.)

Nice to Have

• Experience in supporting banking applications and trading systems

Technical

• Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Working knowledge of AWS cloud platforms and services.

Functional

• Background in supporting capital markets applications and trading systems, ideally within Market Risk or Front Office environments, with a solid understanding of financial products such as Treasury, FX, Credit, IRD, Bonds, and RSF.

Key responsibilities

• Provision, configure, and maintain AWS infrastructure, including EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, ALB/NLB, EBS, IAM, and Route 53.
• Manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform across Development, UAT, and Production environments.
• Monitor system performance and availability using CloudWatch and CloudWatch Logs Insights and respond to alerts.
• Assist in incident triage and contribute to root cause analysis (RCA).
• Support IAM policy management, security group audits, and access control best practices.
• Assist in deployment and troubleshooting of endpoint security tools (e.g., CrowdStrike Falcon).
• Perform backup and recovery operations using AWS Backup solutions.
• Execute patch management and routine system health checks for Linux and Windows systems to ensure security and compliance.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, application, and networking issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain technical documentation, including runbooks, SOPs, and architecture diagrams.
• Support implementation projects by assisting senior engineers with documentation and tracking project timelines.
• Handle minor configurations and business-as-usual (BAU) operational tasks independently.
• Support ongoing AWS initiatives, including upcoming AI-related projects.

Preferred

• 1-2 Years of experience in cloud infrastructure, systems administration, or related technical roles.
• AWS Cloud practitioner certification.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (subnets, routing, DNS).
• Linux administration basics.
• Awareness of cost optimization and cloud security best practices.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
