Your Mission

As Engineering Manager, you’ll be the backbone of our building operations — leading a team of technicians while staying close to the tools yourself. From preventive maintenance to last‑minute event support, you ensure Mama Shelter stays safe, stylish, and fully operational at all times.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead, coach, and schedule a team of engineering technicians
• Oversee building, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance
• Ensure all preventive and corrective maintenance is executed efficiently
• Be hands‑on on the floor — troubleshooting, fixing, and supporting the team when needed
• Support events, activations, and high‑occupancy periods, including setup and breakdown
• Manage contractors, service providers, and vendors
• Ensure full compliance with safety, fire, and local regulatory requirements
• Lead the workplace health and safety initiatives, incident response team, and matters relating URA and NEA relating to building
• Liaise with fire safety and security consultants

Our client is a global advanced precision engineering & manufacturing solutions provider.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the design, development, and optimization of injection molding processes for medical, automotive and high precision industrial applications.
• Manage and oversee design, implementation, and optimization of automation solutions for high-precision assembly processes.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 13485 for medical devices, IATF 16949 for automotive).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new molds and maintain existing tooling.
• Partner with suppliers to integrate and implement advanced automation solutions for manufacturing.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
• Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and develop corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues and implement sustainable solutions.
• Lead engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to align engineering initiatives with company goals.
• Manage resources effectively to support multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements:

• Master/ Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
• Min 8 years of experience in injection molding and automation assembly, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and mold flow analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of automation technologies, including robotics, PLCs, and vision systems.
• Experience with quality management systems (ISO 13485, IATF 16949).
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience in medical device or automotive manufacturing.
• Familiarity with Industry 4.0 and digital manufacturing technologies.
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma and must be familiar with Minitab software.
• Familiar with FMEA, PPAP, APQP and IOPQ.
• Sound knowledge in SPC, FMEA, DFM, DOE.
• Possess strong leadership, positive attitude, analytical and good interpersonal skills

1. To provide engineering support and assist marketing with retention of existing clients & seek new clients for ship building division.

2. Assist commercial newbuilding and commercial ship repair in tender exercise for newbuilding and conversion projects.

3. Review of contract, technical and equipment specification to meet design obligation.

4. Generate basic design concept to align with new building tender.

5. Prepare drawing schedule and arrange for technical meeting with client, classification, designer, vendor and system integrators.

6. Execute new building design and engineering production plan for awarded new building projects.

7. Carry out Interpretation of classification rules and Maritime regulation. Ability to read design drawings.

8. To work independently with a team.

Requirements:
1. Polytechnic / Degree in Marine or Naval Arch. or equivalent.

2. At least 5 years of engineering experience in marine or offshore related industries.

3. Understand basic shipbuilding and project process. Able to comprehend technical specifications and carry out discussion with clients.
