Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conduct and lead scheduled group fitness classes to promote participation and engagement.
- Provide active gym floor supervision, ensuring safe use of equipment and assisting members with correct techniques.
- Deliver personal training sessions (maximum 2 hours per shift during working hours) as rostered or approved.
- Offer professional advice and design workout programmes tailored to members’ needs.
- Uphold high standards of customer service, engaging with members regularly and positively.
- Ensure safety, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance checks are carried out daily.
- Support fitness events, challenges, and member engagement initiatives.
Requirements
- Recognised Fitness Instructor/Personal Training certification (e.g., ACE, NASM, ISSA, FISAF).
- Current CPR / AED certification.
- Experience in leading group fitness classes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team-oriented, professional, and motivating personality.
Working Conditions
- Full-time role with rostered shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Minimum 2 group class instruction as part of duties.
- Maximum 10 hours of personal training permitted per week during working hours.
- No limit to personal training conducted outside of working hours.
