We are delighted to be partnering with a well-established construction company to source an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their tendering division. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned QS professional looking to take on a pivotal role within a dynamic and growing organisation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Senior QS (Tendering), you will play a critical part in securing new projects by delivering accurate, competitive, and well-structured tender submissions. Working closely with internal teams and external consultants, you will be at the forefront of the bid process from inception through to award

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Conducting detailed quantity take-offs and developing cost estimates based on drawings and technical specifications
• Reviewing and interpreting tender documents to clearly define and understand the full scope of works
• Collaborating with tendering teams, engineers, and design consultants to ensure pricing accuracy and completeness
• Sourcing, obtaining, and critically evaluating quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• Performing thorough rate analyses covering materials, labour, and plant costs
• Compiling comprehensive tender reports for internal review and sign-off
• Supporting the end-to-end preparation of tender submissions, including Bill of Quantities (BQ) pricing and all associated technical documentation
• Organising and maintaining tender records, cost databases, and historical pricing references
• Representing the team at tender briefings, site visits, and post-tender clarification meetings as required
• Supporting the wider team with additional duties as directed by senior management

WHAT OUR CLIENT IS LOOKING FOR

• A Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, or a closely related field
• A minimum of 10 years' experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a dedicated tendering capacity
• Prior exposure to Civil tendering will be highly regarded
• Strong attention to detail with a meticulous and methodical approach to work
• A self-starter who brings energy and enthusiasm to every project

Statement Of Purpose (Overall Purpose of Job)

To provide administrative support to the department / company.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

(A) Specific :

• Sourcing & procurement of insurance policies & bonds for new & extended projects.

• Oversee group project insurances and ensure all client requirements are met, updating and filing records.

• Processing of project insurance claims (injury, damages etc.).

• Ensure all insurance bonds have been discharged upon completion date.

• Annual public liability & work injury compensation renewals.

• New / renewal BCA workhead, builder license, bizSafe and GGBS.

• Maintain & updating of project master list.

• Point of liaison for technical controller, builder endorsements/submissions.

• Follow up RIT project completion documents.

Job Requirements

(A) Education, Qualifications & Special Training :

• “O” Level with credits in English and Mathematics or equivalent.

• Basic technical knowledge of building & office facilities.

• Good working attitude, self-motivated and able to work independently.

• Lead and review engineering design deliverables in accordance with LTA standards, contract requirements, and project specifications

• Attend daily subcontractor meetings to discuss structural and architectural issues and ensure the project schedule targets are met.
